I enjoyed this restaurant a great deal. It has a warm, comfortable feel about it, the service was good, and the food excellent. I like to read during dinner, and the lighting was good here. Will look forward to going back.

We had lunch here after finishing the Great Glen Way. For 8 pounds you can have a gourmet 2 course meal. They also have a 3 course meal option. It was May on a weekday, a little after 1 pm and there wasn't anyone there but we decided to try it anyway. Everything was super. Service was good but the... More

Went for dinner with friends who frequent this restaurant often, would advise booking as it only caters for around 30 covers. It's always a good sign when it's difficult what to chose from the menu. Although not extensive there were many dishes that sounded innovative and inviting. Mains were halibut, venison, and pork and all enjoyed immensely. Service was friendly... More

We are a threesome from the 'States who have dined all over the world, and this meal was unforgettable. Every course was terrific, from appetizer to entree (salmon in puff pastry for me) to dessert (sticky toffee pudding). Wait staff was charming and attentive. Honestly, I have not had a better meal in years. Hats off to the family running... More

Gracious lady maitre d' booked us for a later dinner as I wandered the city and found this upscale restaurant. Small and inviting. We returned for dinner, shared entrees and desserts, sent wine to adjoining table of our countrymen, and were well cared for over numerous courses. Thoughtful family team who know their producers and attend to their customers. BRAVO!... More

I stopped in for dinner on a whim with no reservation in a large group. We were politely seated together and enjoyed an amazing mix of Scottish cuisine. I enjoyed the Scotch Egg, Halibut and the Sticky Toffee pudding, all of which were unique in their own way. My friends enjoyed the salmon, chicken and venison, which all received rave... More

The team make you feel very welcome in this small gem in Inverness. The menu is extensive and mainly local produce presented with flair and cooked to perfection with well flavoured dishes Even the prawn cocktail was generous and a delight - saddle of venison melted in the mouth and the desserts skilfully prepared. The young chef here has a... More

This was our first visit to the city, and we looked at several restaurants, all seemed to have many of the same items with nothing standing out to us. However this one had a menu that stood out and it ended up being the perfect place for our last meal in Inverness. The staff were all very helpful in describing... More

First - Inverness dinner reservations, as far in advance as possible, is absolutely necessary. We were very lucky that when we walked in they had just had a cancellation. The restaurant is not large and the food and service were excellent. Would return if ever back in Inverness.

You know when you're watching Master Chef, and Greg and John try the food, and you can see it in their faces, it's good! That's what it's like eating here! We ended up here by mistake, thought we'd booked somewhere else, but we aren't at all disappointed. The food was so well cooked, beautifully seasoned, quality ingredients treated well by... More
