Overlooking Loch Ness, the Dores Inn couldn't be better located. The food is quality pub food and my cod 'n chips deserved a better title. It is so easy to overcook cod but my meal was perfectly cooked and presented. Our party of six were all impressed with their choices. This venue can be busy in summer so it's best... More

We stayed just round the corner from the Does Inn and went for dinner a few times. Everyone in our party really enjoyed the food and the service was excellent. There is also a large outdoor garden on the shores of Loch Ness, wonderful views and the dog loved it too. Would definatly go back here if visiting the area... More

Previously this review would have been headed 'Great location, great food', but I'm afraid under new management the Dores Inn is no longer a restaurant to visit just for the food. This was our second visit since the change. On the first visit the food was poor, their (no longer) famous fish and chips were covered in soggy batter, also... More

Romantic meal for two at reserved table. The starter of pork belly was more than delicious and would more then recommend tasting this. The main dish of chicken served with vegetables was succulent, morish and definitely delightful and my husbands main of rib eye steak served with a garlic butter with a local freshly prepared crisp salad was devine. I... More

Great views of Loch Ness and plenty visitors enjoying the sunshine. Unfortunately we sat at an outside table but not in the restaurant area. Ordered two coffees and a glass of white wine which was as warm as the coffee. Had to get ice cubes in the wine. Then had two ham sandwiches with mustard mayonnaise. Couldn't taste the mayonnaise... Popped in here for lunch while exploring Loch Ness with my son last week. Great food and friendly, efficient, service, all in an establishment that feels very natural and welcoming. It was so nice we ended up spending all afternoon here, walking on the Dores beach, chatting to the resident Nessie Hunter and taking photos of the Loch. A great... More

absolutley love the setting for this place, right beside the loch is the beer garden ,then a lovely small beach ,and mountains in the background too! Downside was that their website advertises a grazing menu i.e lunch being served between 12-5pm Mon -Sat ,we took along a party of 12 of us only to be told food wasn't being served till... More

Visited for a late lunch on the sunniest day of the year, so the pub was very busy. The staff coped well; our sandwich lunch arrived promptly and was served with an attractive salad garnish. The added bonus of the Dores Inn is the stunning view across the Loch. Well worth a visit.

Fabulously warm 23 degrees, children swimming in the Loch. Relaxing in the beer garden looking at the beautiful scenery, perfect!!
