As a Chef myself i don't often write reveiws restaurants(for fear of being Hypercritical but thought i must here.Fantastic French bistro food cooked with love and had a real homely unpretentious feel to it. Great flavours, in fact I had the half lobster thermidor as a main and had to order another half when I finished it as it was... More

First time I've visited and I was really impressed. It was a stormy Tuesday night, rain lashing down but we were warmly welcomed and here it is all about the food and we were not disappointed! We tried the oysters, mussels, fresh fish, scallops, venison, steak, duck, brûlée and crepes and the cheese and coffee...... All looked great and were... More

Although this time of year is not full of visitors this far north, I was greeted very well indeed as I arrived. The menu, although not very extensive was perfectly adequate to satisfy anyone who wanted a good well cooked, imaginative French meal. The wine list was good but missed a Sauvignon blanc. I really enjoyed a Bordeaux blanc. My... More

Quaint little restaurant by the river. Really nice French food. Staff are really friendly. Relaxed atmosphere. A little on the pricey end of the spectrum but you get what you pay for.

A one night B & B in Wick on our NC500 trip, somewhere to eat, saw the advert in the B & B and decided to give it a try. The main restaurant was a bit brightly lit for us, so we chose the conservatory which was fine for an early September evening. For a Wednesday night is was quite... More

Delicious find. Recommended by our B and B. Local lobster as entree. Perfect sea bream. Perfect vegetables. My companion had the venison which he thought splendid. Great service. Very good desserts. Would good back.

Suggest you avoid this place... My medium-rare steak came out medium-well done and when questioned, the chef said you have to either ask for rare or medium, there's no medium-rare when it comes to steaks!! Although this clearly wasn't questioned by the waitress when I ordered medium-rare. Refused to give us bread as we didn't order a starter (we spent... More

I couldn't believe it when a friend said that we were going to a FRENCH Restaurant in Wick!! Believe me, it exists. Absolutely brilliant. Steak Tartare( has to be pre-ordered), to die for. Crepe Suzette au Grand Marnier to follow. A wonderful meal in a most unlikely place. What a treat. Many congratulations to Le Patron, Monsieur Chretien and his... More

Delightful non pretentious French restaurant. Menu has many choices. All dishes lightly prepared with reasonable portions. Staff delightful, friendly and local. Chef came out to ensure meal was to our liking. It was an unexpected but nice touch.
