Delightful non pretentious French restaurant. Menu has many choices. All dishes lightly prepared with reasonable portions. Staff delightful, friendly and local. Chef came out to ensure meal was to our liking. It was an unexpected but nice touch.

Stumbled across this lovely French restaurant on our first visit to Wick, beautiful place nestled by the river, food was delicious, staff were attentive, made our night special, all in all first class service and highly recommended a definite first on our list for our next return visit to Wick

Authentic SW French restaurant in Wick. Owners are French and Wickian, chef is from Agen and if you know anything about the area you will know about the food. Simple, delicious food, nice relaxed atmosphere and a nice touch is that the chef comes around to chat about your meal and your visit to Wick, also great if you want... More

The only highlight of my stay in Wick, excellent food, a real surprise. It looks nothing from outside, but is well worth a visit

I have had this restaurant highly recommended many times and was really looking forward to dinner. The menu looked good but perhaps too big for a small kitchen staff to handle. For starters we had frogs legs and goats cheese. The goats cheese itself and the frogs legs were good but both were served with bought in part cooked frozen... More

This restaurant doesn't look like it would produce the food of this quality. It looks from the outside like a local greasy café. This all changes once you go inside. The ambience is excellent and the service outstanding. The food superb. A special touch was the chef coming out to talk to us on our experience. Yes he is French!... More

Looking for a place in Wick to have a pleasant spontaneous lunch we chanced upon Bord De L'Eau. It was a fantastic lunch. The black pudding starter was better than Bury, my sliced lamb main course was delicious followed by a creme brûlée that was the best I have ever had. House wine was excellent followed by first class coffee.... More

My partner and I enjoyed main courses of duck and pork which were both presented well with a tasty sauce. The vegetables were also cooked well and included both potatoes and chips. Service was attentive and efficient. Prices reasonable - a basket of good French bread with the meal would have been a nice addition in keeping with the French... More

delighted to find a local restaurant cooking great French food with local Scottish ingredients including lobster, crab and fresh fish. Very attentive staff, lovely deserts, highly recommended.
