This is a great pub. Fab selection of beers and spirits. Good staff and great pub food. Better than your usual pub fare. In the evenings they often have live music and log fires. It's a cozy friendly place to spend the afternoon or evening in Aviemore.

Food was delicious and service friendly, the only reason I'm not giving 5stars is because the whole place was FREEZING- I mean everyone eating with their jackets and scarves on freezing. To be fair it was -9 degrees outside, but a heater or two wouldn't have gone a miss. Food still worth wrapping up for though.

We visited recently while passing through Aviemore at lunch-time on a cold day. The menu was very small - perhaps too small for us - so it was difficult to find something we wanted - and prices were quite high. It appears to be a typical traditional pub on the inside, but with a menu that's trying to be more... More

Arrived on Friday 18th November at the Inn and was promptly seen to by staff, our party of 4 all had mains and desserts. I had the beef fillet and it was cooked to perfection, medium rare. The whole roasted onion was delicious as were the potatoes. My wife had the fish dish with the mussels and said it was... More

We had always visited this bar for food but were no impressed at all. We didn't mind waiting for a table as it had always been worth the wait but when we were given a scrap of paper with the menu on it we knew things were different. We had seen the food going past as we waited for the... More

This was our third choice restaurant in Aviemore (of the first two one was closed Mondays in November and the other was full), but we were not disappointed. Our amiable Spanish waitress, Vanessa, led us to a cosy corner by the wood-burning stove which she topped up from time to time, so we were kept cozily warm. All three of... More

First night went for dinner and had an excellent meal from start to finish try the lemon posset. Finish included 2 whisky curated by our server. Fun conversation and great choices Blair atholl and a tomitoul Returned 2 nights later and food was still great but the service was neither friendly nor helpful. Felt so rushed for no apparent reason... More

The evening started with a very nice wine recommended by a knowledgeable pleasant waitress, service continued to be great through the evening. The fish dishes were inovative, wonderfully spiced, prepared and presented. This was the best meal we had in 10 days in Scottland with the exception of the evening we were guests in Banff. Dessert was nicely prepared unique... More

on arrival we were shown to a table shoehorned in beside a party of 12, as there were no other people in the dining room at the time, I asked to be moved to a table nearby but which had a bit more elbow room for my 6'2" husband and was a bit quieter. You would think that we had... More

Cosy bar and restaurant, very busy with buzzing atmosphere. Food excellent! Had a party of kids, adults and a dog, we all loved it. Make sure you book a table in advance (and specify if you have a dog because that is a separate area)

Thank sazzer11
