Good for kids

Took my 2 boys here after a long drive up from Glasgow, we all appreciated the cosy atmosphere and it was very family friendly. Good menu for kids and enough interesting items for Mum. There are a lot of nice places around but this is great for kids.

Ordered starters which we thoroughly enjoyed but also meant half of our main meals were packaged up to take home. Big portions! Ribs are great. A friend ordered a vegetarian mushroom burger which she said she's never seen on a menu before but really enjoyed. Our waitress was lovely and very helpful.

Great food and huge portions. Caribbean Chicken Salad is the nicest salad ever. Would definitely eat here again. Service excellent and great coffee

after a long day in and around Aviemore we wanted a restaurant with good food that opened at a sensibly early time. We were in as soon as the door opened and immediately there was warmth from the room and the waitress. My son in law is gluten intolerant so she went through the entire menu explaining what was OK... 20 of us booked ahead for a meal at 7.30. Had to wait 10 minutes because tables were not set. Food was ordered promptly and was OK but after that we were really forgotten. Place was not that busy and staff seemed more interested in packing away. Some of us had skipped starter's to hold out for dessert menu but... More

Called here whilst on a family day out. It is situated on the main street in Aviemore next to the railway station. The venue has toilets and a mixture of seating (large tables and more intimate smaller tables). The menu was good, pasta, jacket potatoes, sandwiches, burgers etc. We were placed on a small table when we arrived and the... More

Are you hungry and have you been out and about all day, without really having much to eat? Good, then this is absolutely the place for you! The portions are enormous; apparently a few places in Aviemore assume you've been on the slopes all day, and like to feed you. That absolutely doesn't mean quantity over quality though, the food... The restaurant is really well located in the centre of Aviemore, next door to the train station. The food was amazing and service very good. A must if you are in the area!

Popped into Roo's for lunch as had never been before. We were seated and had our order taken quickly. Food was reasonably price and had a great selection available. Staff were polite and chatty! Portions were big and very tasty! Really pleased with our impulse decision to stop in here for lunch. Will be back as there are a few... More

We were a party of two on Christmas Eve. We ate quite early but were lucky that this let us see the Christmas Parade and fireworks from our seat in the restaurant. I had a burger which was really excellent quality meat and my husband had fajitas which were also good. We only had one drink each and found the... More
