Worth the walk down Argyle Street to this Russian restaurant. Food is excellent and a nice alternative to the plethora of Italian restaurants in Glasgow. We had mushrooms with goats cheese, blinis with smoked salmon, stroganoff, aromatic lamb and a honey cake all of which were very tasty. Washed down with chilled Georgian red wine. Highly recommended.

This Russian restaurant in Glasgow has it all. Great décor, great staff and service and the food was interesting and great tasting. What more could you want – oh yes the price – we had the lunch special which was amazingly good value for all the good food we were served.

Went for a quiet family meal as it was just round the corner from where we were staying. Food fab, service fab and friendly atmosphere. Scallops, borscht, duck & pear, shahlike, duck, crispy blini all great, kutuzov cake awesome. Will be back

Four of us enjoyed a hearty meal last Saturday. Early booking was rewarded with slick service and then the restaurant really filled up. The starters and the mains were very generous - so much so I couldn't finish my main - had to leave room for pudding of course! Both couples ordered just one pudding to share - we were... More

Got a great deal for a two course meal with a vodka shot for 2 people for £19 from Groupon and thought I'd give this place a go. Absolutely delighted that I did. For starters I chose Borscht which is a beetroot and cabbage based soup which was lovely, but it was outshone by my husband's pork and vegetable soup... More

If you're tired of bland pub grub and predictable Chinese/Indian/Italian give this a go. It's a Russian restaurant but there are Armenian, Georgian, Ukrainian and Uzbeki dishes to choose from. My experience of Eastern European food is that it is often fairly tasteless - not so here, We started with the Borscht soup which had a nice wee kick to... More

I cannot praise this gorgeous place enough. The decor is red red red, lots of pretty shawls and wooden furniture, big high ceilings and plenty of space. The staff are really friendly and fun. The food is superlative. The price is extremely competitive and portions very generous. Eat here and you will not be disappointed.

We visited here on a 5pm deal and the food and service was great. I enjoyed the beer, but really should have got a Baltika! We tried a couple of flavoured vodka which were very nice, It was great to try different food than I'm used to and the portions were hearty! Great for a cold night. The service was... More

Opened in 1998 and is Scotland’s first and only authentic Russian Restaurant. This venue aims to keep its Russian roots intact, bringing cuisine, hospitality and culture to the heart of Glasgow’s Merchant City. The kitchen’s allegiance to former Soviet territories - from Russia and Moldavia to Armenia and Georgia - is evident on the menu featuring borscht, country soup made with cabbage, tomato, beetroot, garlic and coriander; Rostovsky platter, a duet of beetroot-raisin and carrot-garlic salads; aubergine ratatouille accompanied by just-baked pancakes.
