We had never eaten borscht so decided we would give this a whirl and we were not disappointed. Lovely food with friendly helpful staff at a reasonable price.

Walked past this resturant a billion times and everytime said I need to go in and try it, well eventually got around to it and I enjoyed it. Food is to a very good standard and the staff were really nice. I have no complaints at all and My pork starter was delicious. Vodka is obviously strong!

Having tried Italian the night before and desperate for an Indian a work colleague suggested we eat Russian. What the hell I thought and was pleasantly surprised. The decor is modern and the prices are very reasonable. There were 3 of us and with a starter and main and a couple of pints and tip was less than £25. There... More

Good food in a friendly environment. Same building as the Sharmanka Theatre that is worth a visit as well.

We were looking for something a bit different for meal out in Glasgow at the end of August and Cossachok popped up with pretty good reviews so we thought we'd give it a go. It's fairly easy to find and has a nice welcoming entrance, with high glass ceilings allowing plenty of light into the dining area. There are old... More

We had a lovely meal at Cossack last night with my partner and my parents. I had the mushrooms with goats cheese for my starter - I've got to say, this starter was absolutely fantastic, taste was perfect and I couldn't have chosen a better starter. Loads of choices available though. Everyone else really enjoyed their starters. Main courses were... More

Opened in 1998 and is Scotland’s first and only authentic Russian Restaurant. This venue aims to keep its Russian roots intact, bringing cuisine, hospitality and culture to the heart of Glasgow’s Merchant City. The kitchen’s allegiance to former Soviet territories - from Russia and Moldavia to Armenia and Georgia - is evident on the menu featuring borscht, country soup made with cabbage, tomato, beetroot, garlic and coriander; Rostovsky platter, a duet of beetroot-raisin and carrot-garlic salads; aubergine ratatouille accompanied by just-baked pancakes.
