Ate here this evening to celebrate my husband's birthday and the food was truly divine. The flavours and presentation of food is just excellent and felt very authentic to all of the food we sampled during recent travels in Japan. The staff are lovely, really welcoming and friendly, and we would have no hesitation in recommending this wonderful restaurant. We... More

Had been to a business social dinner. Liked the ambience although the seating seemed a little low for a few of us. Menu choice was good including ramen, sushi, sashimi. Starters were great too and in true Japanese style the whole menu is visual. Staff were efficient and helpful. Taste was authentic. Some may say it's quite similar to leading... More

My boyfriend and I come here on a fairly regular basis. We tried it the first time on a bit of a whim and fell in love with it. The service is prompt and polite, and the food is absolutely wonderful - reasonably priced and delicious. Cannot recommend enough.

My friend had been before, I hadn't; and I'm so glad I convinced her to come along. What a find (for me anyway). We decided to have all our choices arrive at once, which probably is best. I had the Gyu Don; which is shredded beef which is simmered until tender served with rice, onions fried until soft and translucent... More

This place serves the best sushi I've tasted in Glasgow. Every meal is delicious. My favourite dishes are the rainbow roll and the ikaten. My flatmate and I visit monthly. The bill can add up when you order a selection of small dishes but it is worth it! The staff are so friendly too.

Everything tastes amazing in this place. When you go in you can always smell something roasting somewhere. The starters are original and varied and the main courses are great. Plenty choice for vegetarians and vegans.

No matter your appetite, Nanakusa has a dish to suit. Personally, I stick to the basics, Ebi Tempura/Sashimi to start with a Spicy Seafood Noodle Soup main. My friends who have eaten here have very varying tastes and have never had a bad word to say. The pricing structure is also very reasonable. When I took my parents out during... More

We found this place by chance when searching for a restaurant on a very rainy evening. Even if it was quite late, they accepted us in and served us two wonderful noodle soups. The atmosphere is very relaxing and comfortable, the staff helpful and kind, the food really fresh, tasty and prepared in an open-plan kitchen. Cooks are Japanese. Prices... More

This is a tricky review to write because our group had wildly differing experiences. Me - 1*, husband - 5*, 2 friends both 3*. The place itself is funky and welcoming, fair warning though there's no easy parking nearby (try a couple of streets over in parallel to Sauchiehall Street). The seats are low but fairly comfy, avoid the back... More
