The original La Bonne Auberge first opened its doors on Bastille Day in 1975, and it's had something to celebrate ever since. Glasgow's first French-Mediterranean brasserie and Bar, this smart restaurant with its aproned waiters and blackboard menus now has an AA Rosette to confirm what the locals have known all along. Set in the fashionable Theatreland district, this is a feast of Riviera cuisine.

It's was my 4th time in this restaurant. Positive: - the space is well laid out, spacious, quiet, well decorated and clean. - the service is very attentive, nice and efficient. - the price is right for the quality you get Negative: - once the salad was clearly not washed a tasted like dirt I... read more

Monthly night out with former colleagues . The food was overall good ,the fish I had was a bit over cooked but ok. The staff were pleasant but after explaining the menu it took a considerable time to place our order. Restaurant is in a good position for pre-theatre meal and was reasonably priced including wine.

A friend and I were meeting some fellow musicians preforming at the 'Celtic Connections' festival who were staying in the Holiday Inn Express hotel, attached to the hotel. I don't know if it was due to the volume of traffic, but the meals, although delicious, were starter size potions. I'm not a big eater but was left wanting.........

Dinning out is as much about theatre as the food. La Bonne Auberge have nailed both. Superb food and brilliantly presented, novel little twists, fresh and great value. The staff are excellent, attentive, know their. The restaurant manager can take pride in having created what I would consider one of the better places to eat in Glasgow

We enjoyed an "offer" lunch and were delighted by the service (pleasant, helpful) and the quality of food offered. We'll definitely return!

Given voucher as present for afternoon tea. Obviously we booked so they knew we were coming. We had barely taken our jackets off when our glass of bubbly and tower of sandwiches/cakes arrived. So obviously not made fresh to order. The sandwiches were dry and starting to go crusty at edges another sign they had been made up a bit... More
