What a great place to eat, 10 lads and a farewell. We asked the waiter to present a selection of starters and main course, what a great idea . I little bit of everything and cold tiger beer to wash it down. After your meal try the our puds and clubs in the area . A truly great night out... More

Saw the ad for this gem on the freebie map we picked up. What a find! Just opposite the City Halls and up the stairs from the street .Menu certainly a bit different from the norm but having settled on a monk fish dish our very helpful waiter helped us choose other dishes that combined to make a brilliant meal... I'm ashamed that I've never written a review for Dhakin as I've eaten there numerous times. In Scotland Indian restaurants are pretty much standard tikka, Rogan Josh places. I'd defy anyone to recognise the dishes on the menu, but don't let that put you off. Without exception, every meal feels as though it's been cooked from scratch and the flavours... More

Visited because the menu was devoid of all the old cliche dishes that dominate Glasgow restaurants - if you want pakora and chicken bhoona then this might not be for you. However if you want some authentic south indian food then its excellent - especially the monkfish and the range of Dosa. Great Dinner

Myself and my Partner visit Dakhin time to time from many many years! Always coming back. Definetly our favourite 1st Indian Restaurant! Not only for a reason that my partner comes from South India but for them constant quality of the food! We always feel so happy and free to go there, as we know we dont have to worry... More

This is one of the most interesting Indian restaurants I have ever been to. The staff were very welcoming and friendly upon arrival. The restaurant was very busy but we were seated with a nice view of the Merchant City due booking earlier in the week. Staff were knowledgeable and answered all our questions about the varied menu with a... More

Dakhin has got to be my favourite Indian restaurant ever... It's so addictive and varied. Definitely not your run of the mill Indian restaurant. You have to try a dosa, you won't regret it.

The food was amazing and very reasonably priced. The stuffed mushrooms for starter were delicious if you like a bit of spice. The jumbo king prawns had a lovely sauce would get a again. The salmon from the grill was cooked to perfection. The merlot wine was nice. The staff were very friendly. Would 100% recommend a visit.

I came here with my mother who has coeliac disease. She was delighted that for once she could choose anything from the whole menu to eat, and that she wouldn't have to worry about contamination. We had a lovely meal, trying lots of new dishes and there was more than enough food for both of us. The staff were very... More

Description
Established in 2004, Dakhin was the first authentic South Indian restaurant in Scotland. Set amidst the centre of Glasgow's Merchant city district, it offers diners a vast array of speciality dishes from India's southern region.

We're talking about authentic recipes using fresh natural ingredients from award-winning chefs. Food worth talking about, and a warm dining experience to savour.

Dakhin proudly features within the Michelin Guide and comes highly recommended by many food critics. If you are looking for something different from your run of the mill Indian restaurant then you'd best be sure not to miss out.
