Crowded place but very warm feeling and waiters. The classic Scottish pub. We had a well cooked dinner and had good drinks!

I have been, in the bar, a few times but never knew there was an upstairs! It is not fine dining but a good wholesome meal. The steak pie was excellent. Our waitress was very able and friendly.

Have to say had lots if fun nights here but recently the bar staff has become very rude and above themselves. It isn't nice when you are on a night out. Please re-train your staff.

I understand that it is pretty busy on a Friday but you could try the royal Scot bar which is just a minute's walk from the horseshoe bar and there is a bar called the crystal palace you could try as well. Hope this helps.
