Quite simply the best meal I've ever had , Pan fried scallops on pea risotto , made even better by the wonderful staff and excellent starter of mussels in garlic , this restaurant is a must on a visit to Glasgow , will be back without doubt .

Thoroughly enjoyed. Starters of fish cakes and seafood chowder were hot, tasty, delicious. Good portion of fresh bread and butter. Mains - shallot mussels & rump steak cooked perfectly. (Personal choice - chips are chunky/small wedges I much prefer skinny fries) Followed by liqueur coffees. Perfect on a cold day after shopping. Efficient cheery service from young Italian waitress. We have been coming here for over five years. It has never disappointed. We took some friends who had never been. There is so much choice. Staff are fantastic and attentive. I had the chowder and the special trout. Superb. You should go. Book at busy times though. Favourite is just nipping in for half a kilo of fresh mussels... More

I hadn't been to this restaurant for quite some time but I recalled it as being very good. How times change................ The pre-theatre menu is a very reasonable £10.95 for two courses and I suppose that should have rung alarm bells. This is another "restaurant" serving frozen chips and I am convinced that the battered fish was also frozen as... More

Central location, wonderful staff, beautiful blue and white decor that goes with the wonderful seafood menu and best of all.. the food is great! Had the sloe gin smoked salmon which was divine and then had half a kilo of garlic and lemon cooked mussels which was unbelievable! Highly recommended for seafood lovers! Steak and veggie options available too.

Super place for mussels in Glasgow city centre. Their quickie lunch is great value with bread, mussels, fries/salad and a glass of wine for under £8. On a personal note I had a coughing fit (chillis) and a waitress was over with some water straight away. Our 11yr old has enjoyed dinner here too. Recommended.

Popped in on the way home from Edinburgh, minestrone soup for starter was excellent then fish stew for me an tiger prawns with noodles in a Thai broth for my wife both dishes were very good, washed down with a nice Pinot Grigot. Reasonably priced meal at £62.00 including tip. The staff were really friendly and attentive with just the... More

Description
The Mussel Inn is one of Glasgow’s première restaurants. Despite the name, our restaurant offers a much wider variety of food than just Scottish West Coast mussels served with our unique and delicious range of sauces. Our seafood dishes also include Creamy Seafood Chowder, Grilled King Scallops and Queen Scallops, Scottish oysters, and our amazing seafood platter (Mini Seafood Platter also available).
