Great place for fresh Italian style seafood. We had the Hot Seafood Platter. Really good dish with King and queen scallops, tiger prawns and mussels, poached in tasty seafood sauce topped with grilled sea bass fillet and crème fraiche. The white wine also good. Recommended.

I'm a regular here, probably 4 or 5 times a year, unusually for me I pretty much have the same selection every time, the chowder and the Moroccan mussels. As I said I'm not normally one for repeating the same orders but I can't resist...More

Read the reviews. Booked for my daughter and I. She’s never had oyster so was amazed there was a small plate of 3 to try. Great way of introducing her into oysters. Starters. Whitebait and mussels. Plenty of everything - bread a plenty for mopping...More

I have reviewed the Mussel Inn before. We are frequent customers. I cannot disagree more with the most recent review that stated this is for tourists. We went for a family meal. Eight people with different tastes all catered for. I had the "1998" oysters...More

My oysters had been thoroughly washed in fresh water. There was no fishy taste or smell. I put salt on them which helped but they were still tasteless. The owner did credit them back on my bill telling me that’s how they arrive. The seafood...More

Great sea food. We really enjoyed the mixed fish platter. Plenty to share one between two. Chowder was good too. Casual and friendly atmosphere. Would recommend it for a night out when visiting Glasgow

Went there after we got turned down by a restaurant that wouldn't take reservations, was almost empty and still declined walks ins. Oysters were very fresh, the Saint Jacques were flavorful, service was prompt - all in all amazing.

We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. Our server was helpful, cheerful and very nice. We were in the mood for fish and our mussels appetizer - large portion and shellfish pasta and hot seafood platter were both excellent and exactly what we wanted to eat that...More

I like that other people have answered this question, just to say "i don't know". How brilliantly pointless. To answer your question, I also have no idea.

They had plenty of options that were gluten free. Many seafood options with veggies & potatoes and buckets of mussels.

The Mussel Inn is one of Glasgow’s première restaurants. Despite the name, our restaurant offers a much wider variety of food than just Scottish West Coast mussels served with our unique and delicious range of sauces. Our seafood dishes also include Creamy Seafood Chowder, Grilled King Scallops and Queen Scallops, Scottish oysters, and our amazing seafood platter (Mini Seafood Platter also available).
