Had omitted to book a table however we only had to wait a few minutes and it was worth it as the service and the food was excellent.

I had the lunch meal here with my friend. The mussel is fresh but I did not like it much. The soup is nice.

During our recent stay in Glasgow we visited the Mussel Inn. This wonderful seafood restaurant can be found in Hope Street and is in the vicinity of Glasgow Central Station. Our visit to Glasgow was a last minute decision. We decided to surprise John’s twin sister,, in order that they could celebrate their 70th birthdays together on the Saturday. We... More

Arrived on speck and managed to obtain a table for two during a busy Saturday around 6pm. Found the staff to be attentive, friendly and courteous, Service was very quick and staff very happy to answer any queries regarding the food that we had. Fish cakes and mussels to start. Fish cakes delicious with a lovely salad. Mussels, again delicious,... More

I stopped in for mussels about 15 minutes before the restaurant was closing and am so glad I did. I had the crab salad to start and a nice glass of sauvignon blanc. The mussels in shallot and garlic sauce were divine... flavorful and fresh with plenty of sauce for dipping. The servers were attentive and very friendly. Great prices... More

The Mussel Inn was recommended to us by our hotel receptionist and we could see why. My wife and I had the fish chowder, mussels & chips with the side salad. The whole meal was delicious with good portions, a special mention to the quality and size of the mussels, which came with a tasty creamy garlic sauce. Service was... More

We were looking for a restaurant close to our Apartment and found Mussel Inn on our way to the station. We were shown to a table, offered a drink and given time to look through both the menu and the specials board. We had a choice of several sauces with the Mussels as a starter and opted for the special,... More

Having heard lots of great reviews this was a real disappointment. Numerous issues: - on arrival a member of staff was talking to the host, we were ignored for a good few minutes with no acknowledgement, the height of ignorance - once the host bothered to acknowledge us we were given zero welcome, simply asked 'are you ok?' the look... Description
The Mussel Inn is one of Glasgow’s première restaurants. Despite the name, our restaurant offers a much wider variety of food than just Scottish West Coast mussels served with our unique and delicious range of sauces. Our seafood dishes also include Creamy Seafood Chowder, Grilled King Scallops and Queen Scallops, Scottish oysters, and our amazing seafood platter (Mini Seafood Platter also available).
