Visited with my impoverished university student son so a real treat. Superb food as always and enough in the doggie bag for breakfast!

Just had a lovely meal here. Food is served in pretty big portions so go hungry. Though they were accommodating and put my sisters leftovers in a doggy bag to take home with her so as to not waste it. Massive and fresh naan breads....More

First off dont let the look of this place kid you as it looks tiny and normally empty. The ground floor bit is only used if the rest of the 2 floors above are full and it gets very busy too. Had Chilli and Garlic...More

From the outside all looks quiet but go up stairs and the restaurant is packed. Delicious food, fresh nan breads and great service.

We had booked an early table after a matinee at the Kings Theatre. On arrival at 5.30pm we were informed they wanted the table back at 7.30pm. Not a problem. It was Valentines Day so that was to be expected but it was hardly very...More

Stuck down in the dungeon which was a bit draughty and noisy. Over cooked food - monkfish and prawns soggy and visually most unappealing. Dreadful Nan, not homemade, but a bought in cash and carry base with garlic butter slapped on. One of our meals...More

I didn't know it ever was! First time visit and they had an extensive drinks menu including wine. Didn't notice any corkage details on the menu. I would recommend you go direct to them to check in case I missed it.

OPENED IN THE WEST END OF GLASGOW IN 1996 MOTHER INDIA HAS ESTABLISHED ITSELF AS AN ONGOING FAVOURITE WITH GLASGOW'S DISCERNING DINERS. We have 3 floors each of which has its own distinctive ambience. The ground floor is the smallest and cosiest, with its own bar and street view. It's perfect for those who like to watch the world go by whilst enjoying their meal. Move upstairs and you enter a different environment, almost Dickensian with its emphasis on rich wood panelling and views through the leaded square windows. Downstairs we have most recently added the Cellar. With a quieter, theatre lit feel it's aimed at those who love a sense of privacy and intimacy. Above all, however, Mother India is aimed at satisfying you. Our staff will endeavour to ensure that you relax and enjoy your experience whilst our team in the kitchens will do their utmost to provide you with the freshest, most wholesome Indian dishes we can create. WE ALL LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU SOON.
