Is this the real life , is this just fantasy? 20 years of visiting seamus's cafe with its bohemian and eclectic styling. Oversized wooden tables and chair, interesting glass and prints adorn the walls. More importantly , our favourite place to go for great food,...More

When I first came to Glasgow, and was eager to taste some Haggis (even though the details of this preparation didn't particularly turn me on!) the manager of my hotel (The Brunswick) toald me I had to go to Cafe Gandolfi. And he was right!...More

Haven't been here in a while but as in Glasgow for the night we thought we must pay a visit. It was a Sunday night and we got a table fairly easily, we had exactly the same as we had eaten years ago. Thank goodness...More

I was in Glasgow for a business meeting and this restaurant was recommended. I thoroughly enjoyed the food. The starters of mackerel and blood pudding were very good and would certainly recommend the main course of haggis, tatties and neeps.

A long established restaurant in the merchant city, it is easy to see why this relaxed restaurant is so popular. We hadn't booked but we were readily accommodated and soon sank into the fabulous over-sized chairs and benches that are a feature here. Echoes of...More

Chunky rustic oak chairs & tables give this Cafe a real rustic feel, very busy but staff friendly, polite and efficient. Excellent menu choice from full Scottish to cereal and toast. Didn't feel rushed, relaxing atmosphere, time to chat or catch up with the newspaper...More

If you are looking for a chillin' start, then this is the place to begin your scottish weekend. The old school feel as you walk through the revolving doors and the smell of coffee, old wood and clink of crockery give you a really good...More

"Deagh bhiadh, deagh bheannachd" Well fed, well blessed. It's this sense of Hebridean hospitality that makes Café Gandolfi such an incredible long standing institution in the Glasgow scene. Opened in 1979, and pioneering the Merchant City into becoming the hub of bars and restaurants that it is today, Gandolfi is a truly well loved and frequented corner of Glasgow. From the main café with its iconic Tim Stead furniture downstairs, the hidden treasure bar up in the attic boasting gorgeous cocktails and atmosphere, to the glamorously sleek Gandolfi Fish two doors up with its adjoining little sibling Fish To Go, this little section of the Merchant City looks set to continue keeping the bar toweringly high when it comes to all things good food, good wine and great hospitality.
