Our reservation at another restaurant was lost, so my family of 4 found ourselves looking for dinner after an afternoon show at the hydro, right at 6pm on a Saturday. We got a reservation in another restaurant in a couple of hours time, so went here for a few drinks to pass the time. The place was busy, so we... More

Went here for food and drinks before show at the Hydro - ordered the chicken salad - £11 and the superfood salad - £11 too I think. very tasty. had a couple of the local craft beers - a little pricy at £5.20 I thought (hence 4 stars instead of 5) but overall a very cool bar / eaterie with... More

We visited from Edinburgh, being pretty clueless when it comes to Glasgow restaurants so this was a very lucky find! We were greeted as we stepped through the door and shown to our table straight away (booked by email, and had an immediate response). Staff were very friendly and attentive. We let the waiter choose our food selection, and shared... More

We went to the Kelvingrove Cafe for a pre dinner drink but the staff member who greeted us was so unbelievably rude to me that we left straight away. We went to Rioja across the road instead, where the staff were lovely, polite and welcoming.

Loved the idea of the original Victorian look of the decor and the website makes the place sound great, it states " We have a team of skilled Bartenders eager to make you your favourite cocktail ....". So it was disappointing when my friend asked for a Black Russian to be told they don't do them, then asked for an... More

This is a cracking place to go for breakfast . Nice comfortable place, friendly staff, and in the black pudding and chorizo hash they serve possibly my favourite breakfast of all time. If your in the area you need to try it .

Really like Kelvingrove cafe and went back recently for drinks. Always a great atmosphere here, especially on a cold night with a cosy fire burning. Staff are always so friendly and engaging and like a wee chat with their customers which makes a huge difference to the customers overall experience. We have eaten here on previous occasions and although we... More

I've been to this place twice. The first time I was served a £8 glass of orange juice with a dash of grenadine as a "mocktail". The second time I was served the roughest white wine I've ever been served in a bar. I took it back and the waitress offered me a different wine, which should've been nice, but... More

The food was hideously greasy, and some of it surprising (not in a good way). The drinks were kind of average but extremely over priced. Dingy interior, not to mention the weird understated frontage. You could guess at the sort of hipster BS establishment it is from the frontage alone. Staffed by bearded hipster weirdies.
