Place was very dirty. Tables a mess, toilets a mess, served us a drink and within 5 mins of us getting them very rude staff told us they were closing and we had to leave -so much for promoting responsible drinking!

Visited on a Saturday night. Ordered our 2nd round of drinks at 11.55pm. At 12.02 we were told pub was closed and we had to leave. Attitude of staff shocking and verging on aggressive. Cannot be classed as responsible drinking if only given 7 minutes...More

Witherspoon Crystal Palace has much to commend it. Plenty of room, convenient location, extensive range of drinks at very reasonable prices!

I ate here on a Friday night, the place was packed and it became obvious very quickly that there was nowhere near enough staff for the amount of work that needed doing. I have never seen as many tables covered in plates, cutlery and glasses,...More

I love this pub (Wetherspoons). It has a history of being a very popular furniture shop, where I bought oak furniture in the 80’s. I believe it is a listed building too. Anyway, it offers a good choice of meals and drinks, is central, atmospheric...More

I had arrived in Glasgow on a cold wet evening. I passed this large pub/restaurant en route to my hotel. Once checked into the hotel, a two minute walk up Jamaica Street brought me back to the Crystal Palace. Like many Weatherspoons pubs, it had...More

Thank you for review Stuart. We're glad you enjoyed our honest pub food and enjoyed the atmosphere in the pub. We agree that the "drunks druggies and beggars" in the streets of Glasgow are a distressing trend however it is sadly the nature of our...More

We had breakfast here and it was a big portion though not really all that good. Fish and chips for dinner was great, big portion and well worth the money. Good bar at night and prices very reasonable. Friendly crowd. Worth a visit.

The best thing about this place was it's proximity to our hotel. We could walk there. Once inside, there is a frustrating way of ordering. You have to walk up to the bartender and order, then pay for your food. I asked one bored waitress...More
