We go out for dinner with another couple round about this time of year to celebrate our anniversaries (they have been married 32 years and we've been married 29 years!). We look for new places to eat and were keen to try The Finnieston for a number of reasons - our friends have been trying to book for a while... More

Went for a birthday dinner for my son. A table of five. We had a cocktail in the bar and went through to our table, right next to the kitchen hatch. Happy, attentive waiter, happy attentive maitre d, good barman. The menu is great - mostly fish, and with one or two market variations by Amy the Chef. Small but... More

Stopped by on my mid-week-way home from work to enjoy a dainty delight, not a dram, nor a draft, but a cocktail! Which I was surprised wasn't crafted by 'the man' but by the bar team themselves, supported by a handsome and most pleasant manager who gave me some knowledgeable chat about the food and bevvy as he poured a... Called in for some fish and chips on a Sunday afternoon and we were not disappointed. Our food was beautifully cooked and presented. Staff were very pleasant and attentive. Can't fault the food or indeed the service. Our booth for two was a bit tight if you are 6 foot but this was really a minor complaint and I'm sure... More

This was our third visit to this restaurant, each visit has been a successful one. The food is delicious, healthy and beautifully presented while the service is charming. Sometimes music played in restaurants can be obtrusive but on this lunchtime as we tucked in to our fish and chips, we enjoyed listening to a selection of famous and not so... More

I had dinner at The Finnieston on 17 August with two friends, one of whom is vegetarian. Having called beforehand the very helpful staff member confirmed that this could be accommodated. I ordered one of the fish of the day dishes which was sea bass, with sides of sweet potato fries and buttered greens, with lemon and caper butter -... More

Have visited a few times for drinks but first time dining in. We enjoyed a couple of small plates for starter, mackerel was particularly lovely. Delicious lobster for main, probably the best lobster I've had and very, very fresh. Super yummy desserts. Great gin (if a tad expensive). Awesome service! Would highly recommend!

Stopped in on Saturday night for a quick bite. The food and service was fantastic. The place looks great inside and I was particularly impressed by the garden out back that I didn't know about. The garden is all lit up at night and really is not to be missed. I will definitely be back for lobster Tuesday!

Went with a large group of people - the service considering was excellent and the waiter very knowledgeable. Having eaten top notch Scottish seafood before, this certainly would be one of the best seafood restaurants I have been too. Fresh oysters, wonderful wine and overall an enjoyable meal! Would certainly return next time in Glasgow.
