We've been coming to naked soup on and off for ages and never had a bad visit. The service is quick and friendly and the food and coffee are great. They do a good breakfast menu as well as a great value meal deal at lunchtime, with soup, sandwich, fruit and a drink for under six quid! Highly recommended!

This was recommended as a good place for soup etc, so we decided to visit as it was getting late for lunch (2pm) and it was nearby. The selection of soups were good - Sweet potato, lentil and coconut, veggie noodle or tomato and bacon. I had the veggie noodle - very nice and filling. I also had a vegetarian... More

I went for brunch with a friend. She's been before and highly recommended it but we were disappointed with our dry pancakes/potato scones. Coffee/tea was fine. The deli looked great but more care needs to be taken regarding the brunch menu. We have since learned it is under new management so that might be something to do with it. Nice... More

We ordered a couple of breakfasts. Service was very slow. However, it was with a smile and the waiter dealt with a complaint very well. When our food did eventually come we had to ask for cutlery to eat it. The waiter came back with one set and we had to ask for another! I noticed straightaway that my bacon... More

I stop in here every time I'm in the city and am always greeted with warmth. The lunchtime deal (soup, sandwich, fruit & a drink) is fantastic. They have a great range of new soups and sandwiches every time. I'd happily eat here every day but sadly I live in London. A place like this would be very welcome in... More

Quick and friendly service. Coffee and cake are nice! Cakes are £1.50 which I think is really cheap. Nice chilled place went here because there were seats to sit outside on a nice spring day!

Having just experienced, twice, the total rip off and lack of quality that is Edinburgh catering, I wonder what people are finding fault with here? I don't think you know how lucky you are! Ok, rant aside..the food..for £5ish we had a big beaker of freshly made soup..there were several choices, and we could sample before we picked too..a sandwich,... More

Like a fellow reviewer, I too have experienced a disappointing change in the Naked Soup. Once one of the best breakfast haunts in the West End, my recent visits have confirmed that either new policy or ownership have been to the detriment of an established café. Bring back the all day breakfasts....mortons rolls....strong coffee...we all miss it.

Following an excellent lunch nearby we deferred our coffee until we had walked off lunch. This is just off the main road so you may get a seat and the staff were good a delivering a range of coffees and teas. Pleasant place with pleasant staff.

This place used to be wonderful. It had delicious breakfasts and excellent lunches. A simple but well delivered menu. Incredibly disappointed upon returning recently and finding that all that was good about it is gone. Breakfast now finishes at 12noon, the soup was terrible, the sandwiches have been replaced by incredibly dry bagels and, worst of all, the coffee now... More
