We walked to this unassuming cafe after our visit to the university and were glad we did. We enjoyed lunch. I had the homemade lasagne and it was quite good. The sauce was very meaty and I ate every bit. My friends also enjoyed their...More

This is quite an unassuming little bistro in Partick but it's a welcome break from the chain food outlets which are the mainstay of the city centre. Quality ingredients, very well cooked and served with efficiency and care. The fixed price menu had a good...More

Revisted this wee gem last weekend for a date night with hubby. The food and ambiance is fantastic. This is a wee hidden secret with locals but well worth travelling to if you do not live in the westend. Promise you once you've been once...More

Needed lunch and chose here at random out of all the choices. The coffee was really good and lunch was excellent. Really good choice of vegan food too.

Yes, at lunch time we have gluten free bread which suits most of the dishes and gluten free pasta, so most of the dishes can be modified. The evening menu is much shorter but as the food is almost all cooked to order it is... More

We do not have a specific vegetarian menu , but we always have options on our menu and all of our dishes are made and cooked on the premises which allows us to change dishes to suit our customers needs

Hi I know they change the menu quite often, the only suggestion that I can think of is to contact them via Facebook. I hope you manage to visit the cafe/restaurant.

Established in 2008, 279 Cafe Bistro is a family owned and managed bistro in Glasgow's west end just a short walk from Partick train station situated between Partick and Kelvin Hall subway stations. We serve fresh, cooked to order food from our small but very capable kitchen. Our menus have changed slightly over the years to keep things interesting but the quality of food and personal service has always remained the same. Recently our Bistro has taken on a more casual dining style and our openning hours and menus have changed to meet local demands. We open from 10am until 4pm from Monday to Thursday and from 10am until 10pm on Friday and Saturday.During the day we offer brunch, small dishes, pastas, burgers & ciabattas with the recent addition of a VEGAN brunch menu, aswell as great coffee and treats. Then on a Friday & Saturday evenning we offer a fixed price menu which changes from week to week
