My daughter advised me to try Epicures in Hyndland. Seemed like a posh pub with a small menu. Portions seemed small with large prices. Food was good though I don't know why restaurants skimp on tiny portions of low cost vegetables as larger portion of veg would have enhanced the meal. Pigeon breast was a bit dry. The Scollop sauce... More

Epicures is somewhere that we have frequented often. When it first opened it was excellent. Now they seem to have got complacent and trade off their reputation but sadly now the standards no longer live up. As such I won't be back, there are too many excellent restaurants in the west end! Service: has become massively slow waiting over 20min... More

We dropped in for a snack and a beer when we first arrived in Glasgow. The food, olives and bread platter we shared, was tasty, the beer, Scottish BrewDog, was delicious and the staff were friendly. So the following evening we went back for a proper meal. We ate prawn and langoustine cocktail starter (not as 1970's as it sounds!),... More

First visit for a quick lunch. Nice atmosphere inside, helpful friendly staff and interesting decor We had soup and sandwiches which were excellent, spicy sweet potato soup and generous sandwiches. Then tasty cake all at a reasonable price in palace it's apples sure to while time away in

Great food but will not be coming back here again due to the incredibly slow service. It took 25 minutes to receive our drinks (orange juice, coffee and Diet Coke). By the time our meal came we were ravenous, so when one of the orders was messed up we didn't even bother to correct them. I think this is a... More

Marked improvement over last visit in 2013. Friendly service and early Sunday visit were very relaxing. Nicely poached eggs slightly let down by a tepid hollandaise, and bacon and a better muffin would have significantly improved the benedict sampled. In short, some minor modifications required to ensure that food matches service standards.

A group of ten of us came here for an Epic Cure - brunch the morning after a hen party. Every dish was amazing. I had french toast with bacon and maple syrup, others had eggs benedict, eggs florentine and the full breakfast with haggis. I can't fault a single thing. The staff were lovely, the surroundings are so beautiful,... More

Decided last minute to head out for a drink, I hadn't been here before, but had been told to try it out. Not disappointed, wine was nice, service was friendly, will be back for food soon!

Lovely atmosphere, really relaxing, friendly and welcoming. We ate from the Pre-theatre menu which is fantastic value at only £14 for 3 courses. Portions were really generous and everything was well presented, high quality and delicious. Serving team were lovely and really added to an enjoyable evening. Little gem of a place, can't wait to go back.
