My friends and I went here to watch the final of the Euros and had the unfortunate experience of being served by the most arrogant, sarcastic and unhelpful guy when ordering food at the bar. Yes it was busy, but there was no need for the attitude. Food and drinks mediocre. Would not recommend and will not be back!

Laid back bordering on lackadaisical service but got what we were after in the end so fair do's. 2 sandwiches from the £5.99 sandwich, chips / soup & drink offer, which were excellent. Wife had southern fried chicken & I had steak, plus soup; both excellent, especially the soup. It was a spur of the moment decision & I was... More

Was in yesterday with my better half. We had the haddock + chips. Drink for a £1. Decent enough food. Staff were friendly + attentive. Will be back.

Me and work colleague decided to stop here for a few drinks and dinner. The soup was very good tasted homemade but this dosen't take away from the fact that the fish was overcooked and dry, also the batter was burnt, not including my work colleagues steak been visibly burnt on one side! the side they faced downwards might I... Very good food and service, even when busy with people watching the football. I would go back again.

We went here, as did a lot of other people, as it was advertised as showing the final of the French open outside, and it was a gorgeous day. This was the only place I could find in Glasgow that was doing this, so we were delighted. We luckily found a couple of seats at a table with other nice... More

Thank you for taking the time to review The Old School House. On behalf of the team and myself, I can only apologise that your experience did not match the service we strive to achieve. On particular days, such as big sporting events, or due to our excellent beer garden, we experience exceptionally busy days. Our team have been trained... More

The place was clean and tidy. Well laid out. Polite staff. The music was much too loud for me, but I must have been the oldest punter there by at least 10 years. The food was fresh and well cooked. The problem was that one of the main courses took ages to show up, while the other one was getting... More

A poor quality meal was received here, ok I wasn't expecting much as it is pub food HOWEVER a cold baked potato...how do you manage that? After bring this up with the waitress (the potato was clearly still chilled/frozen in the middle) we were told that cheese can cool the potato right down. Ok call me stupid but I haven't... More

Positive side Amazing beer garden, gets the sun for hours. Good beer selection. Generally clean. Staff are polite. Varied menu. Reasonably priced. Cons. White wine is never cold enough, my lady always asks for ice. Limited starters. Tired interior. Desert menu is dairy heavy. Overall thumbs up. Nothing is perfect and this ticks most boxes.
