Having read the reviews I was really looking forward to our meal here, unfortunately I felt let down. Although our starters were exceptional the main courses were not. I enjoyed the Korean beef even though the beef was chewy bit the Fujian stir fried rice was like a what's left in the fridge effort and lacked taste. Would return but... More

We picked this restaurant based on the reviews on Trip Advisor and we were not disappointed. The chilli, salt and pepper squid starter was to die for, light, full of flavour and left a nice tingle in your mouth. The seafood in lobster broth had a nice little spice to it and was not your typical Chinese dish but I... More

Went here with my girlfriend for a date as she loves Chinese. Staff were very nice and polite, sweet and sour chicken and the Seabass we got and they were brilliant. We got a side of egg friend rice and noodles and they were great. Dessert was great also. For such smallish dishes it really does fill you up. Would... More

I was in Glasgow on business and decided to visit Opium restaurant again. This is one of the best Chinese restaurants I have eaten in the UK. The staff are very attentative & helpful with questions on what to eat or most popular choice on the menu. I always ask this questions as I think you can make a lot... More

Best meal out in a long time. Food lovely and fresh with little waiting time. Catered for a vegan without hesitation. Staff very polite and attentive. Not the cheapest but worth the money. Nice venue.

My second visit to this restaurant, but my first review of it. The outside looks unassuming but the interior is beautifully decorated. The staff area great - very polite, service was very good. We wanted a bit of a break between starter and main and there was no issue - we delayed about 3 times, and there was no problem... More

Best Chinese in Glasgow by far. Delicious cuisine! Very clean interior, welcoming staff, affordable prices - especially the pre theatre. Great value for money.

My wife and I went to this restaurant last night. Started the evening with cocktails, which were delicious. The food, mains chicken satay and chilli beef were both good. My only criticism was that the service was not relaxed. Staff were good and well trained but all service was carried out at speed. We prefer time to linger over the food.

I came to Opium for a meal while on a business trip to Glasgow. It was like a rollercoaster of food expectations though. The dim sum was okay- the pork didn't seem seasoned and the dipping sauce didn't add anything, the salt and pepper squid delicious and I found the kung pao chicken average, despite everyone's rave reviews. Despite the... More
