Based on its Tripadvisor rating, we booked a table at the Black Sheep Bistro for the birthday of my wife. The restaurant is easily reachable via bus (app. 10 minutes from the city centre). From the outside, it doesn't look special or even inviting. The inside however is a nice mixture of elegant and cozy. The guestroom is rather small... More

Ate at the Black Sheep Bistro for the first time - absolutely delicious food, great service from the waiting staff lovely little restaurant and delightful atmosphere. Have raved about it since and look forward to returning. The portion sizes were incredible, house red was delicious and the trio of mini puddings well were simply to die for! Keep up the... More

Went here as it's quite local and also due to the high ratings its received and I must say I wasn't disappointed. It's quite small and very busy so you need to book a table around a week in advance especially if you are after a fri/sat night table. It's family run and has a good selection of meals. I... More

This was our third visit to this restaurant over the past couple of years. First two visits were very good but this was a big disappointment. actually thought the restaurant had changed hands! Previously the staff and food had been excellent. However this time the food was very disappointing and the staff were extremely morose. Don't think we'll be back.

3rd annual birthday treat. Small but perfect bistro with a great menu. Staff are superb too. Just be wary of the steak - I asked for it rare but it was so thin that the chef struggled to deliver. A small gripe. You've got to try this place...you won't be disappointed.

After reading reviews we were really looking forward to eating there. Starters were very good however, the mains were a big disappointment. Lamb shank and braised beef. Both were fairly tasteless and boring. Fresh veg was very good. Service wasn't particularly friendly. Didn't think it was good value at £60 for 2 starters, 2 main courses, 1 glass of wine... More

Visited the black sheep based on its reviews and we had booked a table to celebrate my sons graduation. Place is small but very well decorated and furnished but in a strange location. Scruffy run down bit of Glasgow with nothing really around it, maybe a pub or two within walking distance at great western rd but nothing else. So... More

Honestly the best dining experience I've had in Glasgow. Restaurant itself is not a big place but provides a great atmosphere to dine in. My family and I enjoyed a fantastic meal on my graduation day. The starters were fantastic, the main was even better but the desserts were out of this world. Would recommend and will eat there again!... More
