My husband and I have just dined at The Black Sheep Bistro. The quality of the food was fabulous. Unpretentious food cooked to an amazingly high standard. The menu is extensive so there is something to please everyone's palate and purse. Tonight we had the best meal in a long time. You know that everything is freshly cooked and it... More

My husband has been suggesting going here for a while because he has worked in the area and people have recommended it to him so we finally booked it for our anniversary last Saturday. It's kind of tucked away, not on a main drag and very understated in the outside but as soon as we opened the door it was... More

I have been here several times, and have never been disappointed. The food is incredible and the staff are lovely! Make sure and book though, it's always busy!

Lovely meal here last night . Delicious homegrown Scottish Fayre cooked to perfection, with generous portions . My starter of scallops and chorizo stew set the high standard for the evening Normally you are lucky to find the scallops in amongst the ubiquitous salad side dressing of other eateries ...but here the scallops were enormous , juicy and clearly the... Superb traditional Scottish home-cooked food. Hearty portions, good selection of drinks and a friendly relaxed atmosphere. The staff are really good. Helpful and friendly. My wife has a garlic intolerance and after letting them know when we booked, we arrived to find a menu flagging up the dishes she could eat. Overall, our favourite restaurant in Glasgow. Don't eat before... More

Had the Cullen skink very filling plenty of fish in it. Then the venison casserole I was too full to eat it all and too full to have a dessert so would have to say the portions are nice and generous. We all enjoyed our meals £108 for 4 starters, 4 mains and one bottle of wine, so not bad... More

This place is one of Glasgow's little gems. A big menu for such a small bistro. Everyone in our party really enjoyed their food and the portion size was generous - hearty, homemade food. Selection of puddings were also brilliant. Staff all lovely and, overall, a great experience. "Must Try" Jamie S Oct '16

Had an excellent evening with family to celebrate my sister in laws retirement. Food was first class. Portions were well above average. Sweets were magnificent. Staff were attentive but not intrusive. Would highly recommend.
