Bo'vine is a very attractive restaurant and has an excellent location on Byres Road. The chateaubriand was excellent and the accompanying peppercorn sauce and prawn skewers were outstanding. Unfortunately the service did not quite do the food justice. It wasn't bad but on a relatively quiet Wednesday evening it took over an hour from sitting down for our one course... More

We had a groupon deal for chateau brion and cocktails. The steak was cooked to perfection and service excellent would recommend anyone to come here.

I have eaten here several times and normally give an excellent review. Not this time. Lots of little things were wrong; Drinks preparation was poor Dishes were forgotten and had to be asked for Had to ask for table candle to be lit Chips and onion rings were greasy (normally they are gorgeous) Steak was fatty Starter of smoked salmon... We ate here using a Groupon voucher for a chateaubriand main meal. We also had a starter of smoked salmon. This was disappointing in size, one slice of salmon cut up and folded to form a small mound in the middle of the plate for £7.50 seems expensive. Not even a slice of brown bread to be seen. The chateaubriand... More

The restaurant is in the Grosvenor Hotel on the Byres Rd level . It is a large space and was nicely busy with tourist and graduations. The service was good as was the food. The French onion soup was filling , hot and full of onions. The steaks we had were good quality and cooked as asked. Wine was not... More

We ate here using a Groupon deal but we were made to feel just as welcome as full price diners. The steak was the best I have had, anywhere, sides and desserts were delicious. The service was faultless despite me unintentionally being difficult.

Very nice steak once you found it. Meal is for 2 people and comes to the table in a large frying pan ready sliced, perfect. It is however buried in rustic style potato wedges as is the vine tomatoes and the prawn skewers. Far too many wedges. They dominated the meal. Presentation therefore could be improved quite a bit. But... More

Have to say found the cocktails very flat and staff somewhat complacent in our complaints Plenty other bars would serve a better cocktail Caveat emptor

Visited restaurant on a Thursday night, decor is great, layout very nice with a classy yet country chic feel, just what you would expect in the West End. The service was good but at times a bit vague. The food was great, we had the chateaubriand which was awesome but the price (£58) for the main meal on its own... More

Description
Scottish farmers are known the world over for their dedication to The Cause and their consistently high-standards. That’s why you’ll find that almost everything on our menu was either reared here, harvested here or was landed right here on the shores of Scotland. Our approach to cooking is typically no-nonsense too; we source the finest ingredients like 28-day hung Scotch beef and seafoods from local waters, add a little flair and influence from the Auld Alliance and simply let the food do the talking. We think you’ll love the Bo’Vine difference!
