The service was good, nice place. Got a huge slab of steak but not much else to go with it. Very small portions of sides. On the up the steak was tasty.

I had always driven past this restaurant on a daily basis and thought I should try it out sometime as the sign always caught my eye. I had happened to bring the restaurant up in conversation to my mum & dad and by surprise my mum had booked a table for 4 of us for a Sunday evening. We had... More

A 900 gms Tomahawk steak, on the bone, aged 45 days, was shared between three carnivores who assured me it was the best steak they had ever tasted. A 300 gm Ribeye and a 300 gm Sirloin similarly aged with a bottle of house red completed the meal. The near was accompanied by side servings of creamed spinach, a rocket... More

I have been going up to Glasgow for four years now, and always wanted to eat at the butchershop But never got round to it. Finally we made it and we weren't disappointed The steaks were of top quality, service great, Not the cheapest restaurant in town and £45 for what was an ordinary bottle of wine was a bit... More

Went here with a voucher for 'Tafelspitz' which is highly recommended. Its carved at your table and served with lovely roast potatoes, Yorkshires and fresh, well cooked veg (and delicious gravy!) I honestly think its the best roast beef I have ever had! It works out at £42 per couple with a starter (we both had leek and potato soup... More

One of my favourite things about Glasgow is the people. So easy to talk to and always friendly. Our Sunday afternoon visit was taken coldly because we hadn't made a booking. We have always wanted to go and thought we would try our luck. The food was good. A bit lukewarm, but well done and presented. The only waiter who... More

The Butchershop Bar and Grill is our go to restaurant for birthdays and anniversaries but sadly this will be the last time as I will try the groups Hutchesnons or Spanish Butcher in future as I was not as enamoured as I normally am with the food or the service. I swithered between a 3 and 4 star review but... More

Meat lover's heaven. Such a variety of steaks it is unfathomable. Challenged myself to the 4 person "Tomohawk" steak for my birthday. Absolutely dynamite. Cooked to perfection. Staff were always helpful and topping drinks but not pushy. They were very polite and knowledgeable and even brought out the steak prior to cooking. Highly recommend for a couples meal or family.
