Considering we were a random walk in the staff were helpful, and we had a drink at the bar before our table was set. Amazing Scotch egg starter, and good steak. Thoroughly enjoyed the meal and will go back.

We had been given a voucher as a Christmas gift and it appeared as if the management had our money and couldn't care. We were plonked at a table immediately in front of the bar , with a good view of the toilet and on top of a table for 4 . The joint of meat which came as part... More

We chose The Butchershop for a big family lunch spanning 3 generations. The service was very professional and friendly - the restaurant phoned to confirm the restaurant on the morning of the booking and Andy was welcoming and super helpful, with some great recommendations for side orders which really complemented our meal. Starters were less accomplished than the main courses... More

Already previously been to this restaurant, I held this in high regard as the best steak have eaten. So we decided to come here as it was a special occasion, we arrived at 9.15 (table previously reserved). Seats were shown and we started to order. Starters came and were consumed within minutes. We both opted for the T-bone steaks to... More

We dined as a group of 9 on 13th January. Service was pleasant and food was of a good quality. It was Steaks all round and everyone at the table was happy with their meals, starters also good but a few a tad large in portion size. I would say this is a good steak restaurant but I think there... More

I cannot recommend this place enough. My bf and I have been a few times for the 2 dine for £30 steak and wine deal... as we both were driving both times we substituted the wine for soft drinks. The steak, chips, extra mushrooms and peppercorn sauce were simply outstanding... and the desserts... oh my!! Definitely worth the pennies!! LOVE!!!

Been meaning to try this place for a while eventual did the staff were pleasant and attentive in showing us to our table, food was average at best firstly not that bothered about the meat being paraded around the restaurant to show, if I'm paying these prices I automatically expect the meat to be of superior quality anyway had the... Found this to be very overpriced and the food was average. The sauce I got with my steak was very salty and the steak it's self was very small for the price. Won't be back in the future, can get better quality for similar if not better prices in other places!

Visited with my sister during the week and we very surprised that the restaurant was so busy, although we had good quick service as well as amazing steak and wine. Recommend to get a steak each and not the sharing option if it's two women as we only managed to eat half of it.

Thank ShGB06
