I liked the atmosphere, other half thought it was pretentious. The food was not worth the money, tiny portions made to look beautiful but taste quite bland/unexciting. Was also super excited about the dessert, pecan tart, but it tasted so dry. Really disappointed in the food. The drinks were about £10 a cocktail so ended up being a really expensive... More

This was our first visit and we were not disappointed. We had a lovely lunch from the Market Menu. Excellent service and staff very friendly without being pushy . When the staff heard it was my birthday they gave us a glass of prosecco each. After our lunch we were presented with a tray with a happy birthday message written... More

We had a gift voucher and went for Afternoon Tea at the Blythswood. This ornate old building used to be the RAC Club. Upstairs in the Salon the atmosphere is quite relaxed and not stuffy at all. Service is excellent - attentive but not too pushy. There were problems with the sound system though that sometimes blasted into unwanted action.... More

We recently used a gift voucher at the Blythswood. . Service was ok but I felt that another pair of hands on deck would have made a difference. Staff were polite and helpful. We were selecting from the market menu. This is the budget lunchtime menu for £18.50 each for two courses or £22 for three. It's restricted in choice... More

Had a really good deal on 5pm for 2 courses on the market menu being £20 for 2 people. Me and my mum done this deal and were overall satisfied with our experience. I had the roast dinner with sirloin and my mum had the fillet of coley - I wish I had picked her dinner as the smoked haddock... More

I was staying at the hotel the night before travelling back to Canada. Popped in for dinner alone. Ordered the venison which was cooked perfectly and was served with cauliflower, potatoes and broccoli. Excellent! I would highly recommend a visit. Other choices on the menu were also very appealing. Staff were very attentive. Will definitely be back.

Went here for a afternoon tea with a friend. Service was superb, the interior stunning and the food great. I am a vegetarian and my company is basically a vegan with a lot of allergies. Nevertheless, the kitchen managed to serve us both a magnificent afternoon tea. Thank you for a great afternoon!

Faultless meal. From entry to exit. We were looked after so well. The recommended wines and cocktails were perfect. The meal was spectacular and by far the best that we have had in town. I would highly recommend the duck, Steak and peanut butter cheesecake.

The room was beautiful and the food was fine but the service and attention to detail were awful. We waited a long time before the waiter came over with a selection of teas. The jars with tea were dirty and the labels were falling off and also dirty. The selection box had some standard teas missing such as Earl Grey.... More
