This was our coffee refuge when visiting our children, who live in the West End. Great service, fabulous coffee and delicious sweet bites. Funky, friendly and cool. Go!!

:We arrived in the late evening - after yet another (briiliant) rugby match at Murrayfield. Pleasant atmosphere (we sat at a club table) - good Italian style tomatoi soup - good goat's cheese salad - excellent blue Cheese (Cashel Blue) presented in good condition - excellent macarons. Big portions. serve friendly - with a sense of humour - we will... More

Perfect breakfast place, really good food, nice staff, great atmosphere. Nothing complicated about this place, but it is a place to return to. Many times.

This cafe/deli/takeaway on buzzy Byres Rd is popular with students and an eclectic mix of ladies-who-lunch, family groups, couples and visitors to the city. The seating arrangements are ad hoc: a question of queuing up by the bookcase on the side wall and waiting for a table to become available. I found this a little off-putting on my first visit... I had a lovely smoked salmon salad as I thought it would be a bit 'lighter' than the gorgeous baking - but it was a very large portion! Could not finish it and it was accompanied by a smoked mackerel pate, beetroot salad and lovely home baked bread. Pleasant if cramped surroundings. Would prefer that customers did not queue right... All you would want for a weekend lunch. Great food, coffee, and deserts. You can go healthy or slightly naughty but basically everything feels like it's homemade. You will never be disappointed

Not a bad review but iffy. I was meeting family and k&J and so went inside to see if they were already seated. I stood, looking about and probably looking confused, trying to spot my family. There were two waitresses wandering about, not doing anything as far as I could see and neither acknowledged me or asked if I was... More

This great cafe in the heart of Byres Road is well worth going to for coffee, snacks or lunch. Kember and Jones really have made a name for themselves as a place where top quality food can be obtained for reasonable prices. The best scones in Glasgow with such a variety of flavours both savoury and sweet that are second... More

Visited here for lunch with my mum and gran. It was very busy but we were given a table and helped ourselves to some water. Our order was taken very quickly and we didn't have to wait too long for our food to arrive. I had one of the savoury tarts on their specials board which came with salad, beans... More

The place is packed and the service is a hit and miss in my opinion. They always seemed to be run ragged. The food is simple and tasty but again I find the quality a bit inconsistent and this time was disappointing. The price is fairly hefty for what you get as well. The bread is worth buying and is...
