Decided to try somewhere I hadn't been before although one of my friends had been a few times and had liked it..she too was disappointed with the menu we had. The place was very quiet for a Friday lunchtime..the dining area is nicely set out and quaint. Welcome was fine and we were given our menus and I decided on... More

We fell into this local gem as it was a short walk from the Marriott Hotel and we were tired from a long day of touring. It is downstairs from their parent restaurant Two Fat Ladies which is top rated but very expensive. Shandon Belles was more of a local hangout but offered a wonderful experience for a reasonable price.... More

I had a lovely meal - while the regular menu looked great, I was particularly intrigued by specials for both starter and mains. Excellent food, carefully cooked rare steak as requested. Service was charming and I couldn't believe how cheap it all was!

Been meaning to visit for a while, so finally made it along with the girls. The very reasonably priced menu and wine made it an attractive mid-week option. The food was ok, but nothing was overly impressive, and that was disappointing. My starter of feta and beetroot salad with orange yogurt was not well balanced. I had a goats cheese... More

Visited some friends in Glasgow and they took us here for a meal on a Sunday evening. Very good food, very reasonably priced, nice setting and atmosphere. Service could have been a little sharper but overall, a very enjoyable evening. Definitely recommended.

This is the second time this year I have made a point of turning a one night stay into two nights specifically so I can have dinner here. First time I've been here that hasn't been a Friday or Saturday, so it was quieter than the other times I've eaten here. Staff are wonderful, friendly without being intrusive, & seem... More

This restaurant sits beneath Two Fat Ladies at the Buttery. The food is wonderful and the Service attentive without being OTT. A bottle of water is brought tot he table as well as fresh bread. A very good range of interesting dishes and excellent value.

Been to this little cozy intimate restaurant on a few occasions. Celebrated our anniversary, my wife's birthday, took our friends from England there. On every occasion we have thoroughly enjoyed our visit. With exceptional value for money, a restaurant staff who have taken very good care of us each time, but above all delicious top quality food. Our favourite restaurant,... More

Been here a number of times but our latest visit left us disappointed. Still has the cosy atmosphere & quaint decor which is embellished by the warm welcome from the pleasant, attentive staff. However, on a visit to the ladies' loo, there was a strong smell of dampness & areas of wall appeared to be affected by damp. The amazingly... More
