Went on basis of other reviews and wasn't disappointed. Good value 2-course lunch for £7 and they didn't skimp on the portions. Clearly popular as was pretty busy when we went on a Thursday lunchtime. Well worth a visit if you're in Glasgow.

We inaverably book a table for the following night and when the staff realised this they found us a table . We ordered some drinks and our food the Cobra came cold and the food came nice and hot in a very reasonable time. Would certainly go back here.

Nothing flashy, which I like. I'm all about the quality of the food. Unfortunately the quality was average. I've had much better in lots of other places. At first I thought I was being harsh due to the high recommendation but my friend agreed that the food was average and thatneither of us will go back.

Don't waste your time going anywhere else, Charcoals is the best Indian restaurant in Glasgow. In fact, it's the best one I've ever found. Friendly, tasty and the pre-theatre menu is unbeatable. See you again soon!

Booked Charcoals last minute with my girlfriend and I was not disappointed! I walk past the restaurant every day but had never been in and I've been missing out! I can honestly say that I had the best South Indian I've ever had in Glasgow! The staff were also incredibly attentive and we're chatting away to us even after our... More

We had a delicious family meal here. Lots of lovely dishes to choose from and a choice of mild to very spicy. The staff were very helpful in guiding us through the menu as we all had different tastes. We chose an assortment of dishes and nann breads as there were varying ages involved. It was one of the best... More

Had an outstanding meal out of here last night. Chicken tikka with spinach and cream, a mango drink (wow) and all the usual trimmings. We'll definitely be back!

Ate off the lunch menu - an amazing 2 courses for £6.50. Good choice of starters and mains, including vegetarian options for my lunch partner. Chicken pakora was delicious as was the channa poori. We both had chasni for our main course, mine was chicken and the other was vegetable. Both great. I suppose there could be more chicken in... More

Another great meal in Charcoals in the company of Ali and his wonderful staff. If you want great curry and excellent service then go here or to Charcoals Cafe on Argyle St. They really are miles ahead of the other curry houses in town. Go on, your tastebuds deserve it!

The food was okay, but not better than many other Indian restaurants. The service was not able to split a bill into four (there were about 12 of us).
