Went to Charcoals for the first time with a group of friends. The restaurant was lovely. Food was great and staff couldn't do enough for you. Will definitely be going back

Saw some great reviews on trip advisor. They fit me in with no notice. I love Indian food. Always first choice when working away. Menu was quite small. Poppadoms ok but onions very peppery and riatha was bland. Meat samosas were excellent. Just not sure why covered in chickpea curry. Never experienced that before anywhere. Ordered a chicken buhna with... More

Had a veg biryani there. They served a good large portion of the food. The staff was very nice and courteous. However here was a price chart outside which priced the veg biryani and chicken biryani at two different rates and we wee charged for the chicken biryani. So either the price list outside was not update or we were... More

Presumably this is part of a chain as I have visited a similarly named establishment in the Trongate area of Glasgow. If it is then I have to say that it is a very fine place to eat. Been there on at least 3 occasions in the last 2 months.

3rd visit, eating from the lunch menu whilst on lunch hour. Nice surroundings, and food has always been good, and served promptly, will visit again soon.

Out for a couple of drinks and decided on passing to see if a table was free.We were very lucky as around 20+ came in after us only to be turned away. The food was excellent .The best Bhoona and Korma that we have tried.Still had room for a couple of drinks afterwards. We will be back.Best to book next time.

Fitted us in on a very busy Friday night. .without a reservation .food was lovely .. good menu choice. If you like a curry then this the resturant..the owner was so nice and friendly ..kept bringing tasters over...it's a small resturant and doesn't look much from the outside but what a gem.

I have reviewed this restaurant before this was a revisit , for an early dinner while in Glasgow . Service good but not flexible, as waiter refused to move us to another table. Food was good , but felt the main course was tasteless it resembled a supermarket curry no heat or depth of flavour . This place needs a... More

Dined at Charcoals before moving on to Swing ( What a great night of 50/60 music from 3 very talented guys that had the whole place jumping and bobbing) so back to Charcoals Service was very fast and food was very tasty with the Chicken Bhoona, Tikka and Mango Tikka amongst the best I've sampled. The spicy onions are certainly... More

This is a great little restaurant. Not many tables and we had to wait but it was well worth it. Food is delicious and compared to Aberdeen, very cheap. The waiter brought us extra portions on the house and at the end of the meal we were given vodka jellies and another drink on the house. It was my birthday... More
