Fantastic service & tasty food. We would certainly recommend this place to anyone. Social distancing was observed & they were kind enough to recognise our first anniversary

Number 16 has managed to package everything one would wish for in a small restaurant; fabulous food, great staff and a casual, friendly environment which is no small ask in these Co-Vid times. They have incorporated all that one would expect for Co-Vid measures into...all of this without detriment to the experience. The staff clearly care about their customer service and go the extra mile at all times to make sure guests enjoy their visit. Not to be missed.More

I visited No 16 on 30th September with some friends. We all had the set lunch - simple food, imaginatively cooked and beautifully served at a very modest price. Highly recommended !

I visited with my partner on what happened to be my Birthday, this month. For some reason we both haven’t got around to trying here even though it’s been on our list for ages. Wow. Unbelievably impressed. Fortunately, I upload my food thoughts onto Instagram...so take a lot of photos which I’ve uploaded. The olives and Parmesan shortbread were fantastic to start. The waitress was able to give us the suppliers name, as the olives were so tasty. The staff were so lovely, knowledgeable and welcoming. Dishes: Hand dived scallops with confit chicken wing - incredible. I’d go back for this sweetcorn succotash alone! Smoked cured guinea fowl - my partner said this was amazing, as was the monkfish main. Breast of duck - fantastic dish. The sauces worked perfectly Deep fried heritage potatoes with onion dip And the cauliflower gratin - get these, but you will be very full. The baked elderberry cheesecake and crab apple and greengage sorbet was the perfect ending for me, whilst my parter finished off with the George mewes cheeseboard (always a good idea!). Wine: we drank 2 bottles of the Rioja vega Tempranillo. Went perfectly with all dishes.More

We went to this restaurant last Tuesday evening and had the best meal in years - fantastic flavours, and very well priced for the quality of food, which is outstanding. So many delicious components to each course, cannot rate this highly enough. Do yourself a...favour and book in! Staff were very helpful and knowledgeable, and we will definitely be back.More

One of my all time favourite restaurants and it never disappoints! Living in Lancashire I don't get to visit often but whenever I'm in Glasgow, this place is top of the list to visit. The meal and service were exceptional and it was genuinely one...of the best meals I have ever had. We both had the pork cheek tagliatelle to start, lamb and pork belly mains and toffee tart and caramel mouse for dessert. Everything about this place is fantastic, even down to the crockery. I cant wait to be back in the area for another visit. Thank you so much!More
