We had an very enjoyable stay at the Abode hotel but did not enjoy the food. The menu included in the deal (Summer Break-overnight stay, Diner & Breakfast) was a bit restricted but there are options to top it up. We ordered steak, which when it arrived was tough and fatty and wasn't cooked to the specified request. I am... More

Just ok. Lacked atmosphere and customers - stark contrast if you have been to the Manchester Abode. Restaurant was 1/3 full but tables too close together making privacy feel unachievable - it was a Saturday.

This Restaurant in the Abode hotel, is small intimate and friendly, it offers a standard set menu of two courses for £13.95 (Feb 2016). We both had the Steak and Ale Pie, not a huge portion but quality fare and nicely presented. Service from our waitress was slick and friendly. We will almost certainly have a return visit.

Stayed here with a work colleague for a training course . Staff were very friendly rooms were lovely very warm and cosy. Hotel had issues with the kitchen but they made a reservation at the local Italian resturant which was complimentary which was brilliant of them and also catered to dietary requirements. We will be returning soon .

Stayed midweek for Celtic connections. Booked room evening meal first evening and breakfast next morning. Room fine reception ok. Evening meal very disappointing my wife's steak was inedible. Breakfast part of deal but again very average glad we only booked for one morning of the three we were there. Nobody having evening meal except us while we were there. Breakfast... More

This was booked on a deal, 3 courses and a small glass of wine, oh how very disappointed I was. There were four of us out for a meal and to be fair the starters were ok but the main courses were ....well not really up to standard ... I did comment that the restaurant was quiet for a Friday... Went for 3 course meal and a glass of wine each having bought a deal from the 5pm website. We like to try different places each time we are in Glasgow so gave it a go. Restaurant part of the Abode Hotel was smart looking with retro light shades. We had starters of pate and toast. I then had chilli... More

We utilised these facilities (formally known as the Art House I believe) for a meeting over two days Meeting and business facilities were fine. Staff friendly and helpful Some noise from the street as on busy Glasgow street and lots of buses I've rated low as the food was poor Random menus. Pathetic sandwiches. Over cooked beef nibbles. Nothing either... More
