We were visiting St. Andrews for a college visit and had lunch at this lovely spot. The food was excellent and the staff friendly and competent. We really enjoyed the special cakes and coffee after our lunch. Very cozy and comfortable!

As a grown man never did have a dolls house when I was young. But if I was a princess this is the one I would hope for. Staff are just delightful and sweet the moment you walk through the door. You will be shown to the table and drinks are ordered very promptly. Menu is short and consist of... More

There is nothing wrong with this restaurant but it suffered in comparison to the outstanding meal we had at Playfair's the night before. I would have given it 4 stars as the food was fine but it was so slow - there was a large party in as well but we got there before they did and i can't really... More

Went on a saturday night. Arrived at 7pm to be told they had run out of 2 mains. Not a great start when the menu is not extensive. Atmosphere was good however service was terrible. One member of staff came to take the order, we asked for a few more minutes. Less than 60 seconds later a different member of... More

We experienced a warm welcome, comfortable seating arrangement, varied menu choice, including the availability of a daily 2/3 course lunch special and pleasant, polite, attentive service from Max.The atmosphere was never rushed despite it being a busy lunch period and the food was beautifully presented and flavoured. We shall be back, it continues to be a treat when we visit... More

The restaurant had a Scottish feel, warm ambience, toilets not great. The service was slow and the young team neither particularly bothered nor friendly. The chips were delicious but the rump steak was tough and chewy. The wine was reasonably priced. We looked forward to the cheese board which was of poor selection with a few tired-looking grapes. Would not... More

I visited this lovely restaurant along with two friends and was delighted both with the quality of the food and the excellent service. The atmosphere was calm and soothing and the ambience relaxed - no pressure to order or to eat up quickly! All foods chosen had a scottish theme,,,,,,,,,,,a salmon dish and vegetarian haggis with tatties and neeps,...so good.... More

We used to go to the Dolls House a lot then had some poor experiences so stopped going. When we heard it had changed hands we decided to give it another chance. It was very ordinary & certainly not good value.

Came here for a lovely early valentines date meal. Having travelled up from Glasgow for the weekend we were looking forward to our meal so so much. Unfortunately it just wasn't up to scratch. We arrived at around 8pm to a lovely quaint looking old sandstone style house. The building itself was gorgeous as was the decor inside - however... More

Visited on a Saturday night - good atmosphere. Decent service, however food was lacklustre. Portions were minimal and didn't justify the price. One member of the party ordered fish and chips which was we sent back - as it was not well cooked and the batter was very soggy. We had this replaced with a pasta off the specials menu,... More

Description
The Doll's House is one of St Andrew's most recognisable spots to eat & drink- 2015 sees the restaurant celebrate its 20th anniversary.

Specialising in hearty "good mood food", The Doll's House offers a diverse range of quality offers- from weekend brunch to value market menu dining. As well as an abundance of fresh scones and pastries, the main menu is packed full of lighter bites like big bowl salads and shellfish specials, along with a hearty mix of casseroles and roasts. We like to think there are some nice little touches too, like the "Eden Brewery Beer Battered Fish", and a new signature piece- a scrummy and slightly indulgent afternoon tea for two.

Those joining us at The Dolls House for Sunday Roast every week can feel good about the splurge- we will donate 50p from the sale of each roast to Families First- a local charity based in the area.

On the drinks list, you'll find a wonderful selection of gins to suit every palate, complimented by a range of carefully selected fresh garnishes and premium tonics. If you are looking for a spot of something sweeter, the Liquid Dessert range is exactly what it sounds like- a small but perfectly formed collection of cocktails that taste like their pudding namesake.

Upstairs in the Eden Mill Private Dining Room, we can cater for cosy dinner parties and celebrations for groups of up to 12.
