Visited Sunday afternoon with family, the food was ok however the bacon and burger were a bit dry, the decor was decent and there seemed to be strong Covid procedures in place, I was disappointed when our dessert arrived at 5:45 and I asked the...waiter if I needed to pay by 6pm due to Covid guidelines and was told actually we needed to have left by 6. So we had to rush our desert, totally understand the rules would have just been good to be warned before we ordered desert.More

Very disappointed. Meeting family for lunch, nice table, good covid procedures, but lunch was cold or over cooked and we waited over an hour for it. To be fair the staff were very apologetic and took money off the bill, but it ruined the occasion....A real pity, we were really looking forward to it.More

My friend and I were spending the day in St Andrews and booked into Forgan's for lunch. We ordered the Chickpea and Beetroot burger and the Risotto Verde and both meals were excellent! We could not fault it. Equally as flawless was the superb service...by Garry. He was very accommodating, courteous and pleasant to talk to. His customer care was second to none. Thank you, Garry. We would recommend this restaurant to all who enjoy great food and impeccable service.More

We've been to Forgans many times over the years and loved the vibe, decor and menu. However, when we stayed in St Andrews last October we felt the service and quality of food wasn't great but didn't leave a review at the time as we...put it down to one off those days. However one year later we're back and sad to say it was crap. I empathise that in the current covid world things are different and fair play we turned up without a booking and was given a table impromptu. I went for the weekly menu, haggis needs and tatties to start.. they were good. Asked for the cajun chicken burger to be told it had gone so swapped out for normal burger.ok these things happen. My wife went steak ciabatta. Main issue was.. had to wait half an hour between starters and main and had to chase. My wife's steak was on a 'supermarket' hot dog roll with a chuck of chips.. no sides or salad garnish. My burger swap out had clearly never been to New Orleans ..no seasoning, no griddling on coal. Basically a tiny Birds Eye burger on a roll (cold) . Large splat of greasy fries. No finesse, no style.. had a feeling that mcdonalds could do better. ShameMore

Booked a booth for my grans 70th lunch, when arrived they had given it away. No apology so we ended up waiting for it. The curly haired manageress was nothing but rude and when we did get seated the food it has seriously gone down...hill. Sunday roast was terrible. Do not go mainly due to the attitude.More

Visited today with my family for Lunch, have to say Issie our waitress was very good, unfortunately the burgers weren’t even up to Burger King standards, dried out bacon and dried out patties...Oh and cold chips. Pretty poor !

Booked a table to meet with another family for lunch. The place was busy but it was very well managed and we were met with a very friendly and attentive staff. Food was fresh and really lovely. We had Cesar salad, beef burgers and a...vegetarian burger. The chicken on the Cesar salad was so flavoursome. One way system is in place now and felt quite safe and relaxed in the restaurant. Will definitely return again.More

Forgan's has a great atmosphere and varied menu. There is something for everyone and the quality of food is spectacular. This is also the place to try haggis if you haven't already!
