Me and my partner went here for breakfast. The staff were very rude from the minute we stepped in the door. They told us to sit somewhere after waiting at the sign 'wait to be seated'. All the tables were dirty so we sat down at a table full of dishes, after about 10 minutes a very unhappy waitress came... More

Used to visit regularly when the kids were small, returned recently twice in one week (separately with each daughter) and had pretty much the same experience. Pancakes still in my opinion fantastic Banana & Toffee Sauce :) BUT Service shocking rude lazy staff, the floor was filthy covered in bits of food and papers, lots of tables not cleared although... My boyfriend and I visited here at the weekend for a "quick" bite to eat. It was positive to start with - we were showed promptly to our seat by a nice, smiley waitress and our orders were taken quickly. The drinks and first course were also served promptly. Unfortunately our paninis were more like toasted hot dog buns, albeit... More

I LOVE pancakes and the Pancake Place used to be one of my favourite restaurants but we had a really disappointing experience. The service was extremely slow, the food was ok but on the pricey side for its quality. It sounds like a stupid bugbear but I wish they'd invest in some decent cutlery - our knives were so blunt... As someone who works in a coffee shop I noticed that they don't clean their coffee pipe on their coffee machine. It had milk covering it, milk which looked that it had been there a while. My boyfriend also had said he had been there in December and he had noticed the same thing. So glad I decided not to... More

The glasses were unclean, the pancakes were dry and stodgy. My wife had a haggis panini, it was a dollop of haggis in a hot dog bun with supermarket cheese grated over it - that cost £7.25! We waited 25 minutes for that and the waitress said that it was because she burnt the first one, brilliant.

Was a bit dubious about visiting as I've seen many negative reviews. But decided to try for myself, I'm glad I did We were seated and served very quickly. The kids meals are very reasonably priced 4.99 for a main drink and ice cream. They are brilliant portion sizes not too big definitely not too small either. The same to... More

The place was busy but the food was rubbish we asked for a tostie which was anything but it was thin with string cheese and chunks of onion and lots of salad which we never wanted. On ordering the pancake due to allergies I said what I did not want but got anyway delaying again to wait on next one... More

Visited here on a Saturday morning with my 2 teenage kids for brunch. A lovely warm welcome, we were given menus & allowed to choose a table so we opted to sit by the window. The menu has something for everyone even if pancakes are not your thing! We opted for Blueberry Stack (£6.95), Bacon Stack (£6.95) & Scottish Brunch... More
