Friendly staff, the food was delicious, and a nice jug of sangria. Just what was needed after a day wandering around the festival.

Just happened to go into this restaurant in Victoria st Edinburgh, and oh! What a find. Fabulous Mexican food, great service, great atmosphere, busy, but, the staff still got the food out in good time. Will go back again & again.

Found this at the Grassmarket during the Fringe. The staff were so friendly, the food was authentic mexican food. Very tasty and fresh. It was amazing, can't recommend it enough. Will definitely be returning.

We regularly visit this gem of a restaurant where the staff are welcoming and efficient and the atmosphere can be hectic when the restaurant is busy. The rooms are decorated simply in a rustic Mexican style, there is a good range of starters and mains. I had quesadillas for a starter and a pulled pork chimichanga as my main, both... More

An amazing meal that everyone enjoyed. Service was courteous and we'll timed. Food was well cooked, authentic, full of flavour and we'll priced. Will be back and any success this establishment gets is very well deserved... I almost never write reviews but this place was, as far as I was concerned, 100%. Thanks to you all.

We had a burrito and a chimichanga and they were both delicious and, according to Edinburgh standards not even expensive😀

Albeit the restaurant was very busy as it is festival time however we weren't given fresh cutlery for the mains - the staff were so rushed they barely had time to attend to us - the food was average - nothing special - disappointed but hey in festival time at least we got a table ;-)

Best Mexican food I've had in a long time! Was very impressed since it was a quick find on the street and hadn't heard of it before. Would definitely recommend.

Every restaurant was packed at lunchtime on Friday. The Fringe crowd added of course to the number of visitors in the city. This Mexican restaurant is fairly large, with brightly painted walls. The service was excellent, even though it was busy. The food was delicious and not overpriced for a big city. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Just right for a... More

I visited here at the start of August before attending a festival show, we had nachos for starters and fajitas for mains, the food was well cooked, was very tasty and would recommend this place for food, well done

Staying in Old Town

Neighborhood Profile
Old Town
Few Edinburghers live in the Old Town, but its labyrinth of dank alleys and steep streets suggests this was not always the case. Today, it’s mostly visitors, tartan-flavored souvenir shops, and pipers that you’ll find on its cobbled streets. This is the place to get a feel for Auld Reekie (Old Smelly), as the town was once nicknamed, and stroll the Royal Mile, the thoroughfare that links the castle with the royal palace – two of Edinburgh’s great set-piece attractions. But there’s lots more exploring to do here down dozens of little alleys, or wynds, while at night the city’s busiest clubs erupt along the Cowgate which is closed to traffic for this purpose.
