Great evening to enjoy an intimate dinner with 10 people and have a lot of interaction with the chef and sommelier. All were very interesting and knowledge able about food, wine and spirits. The food was an interesting mix of local foods with modern twists....I pictured a bit more cooking happening but I guess due to the intricacies of the dishes it was more heating, working on sauces and plating. It was very entertaining and we had a great meal and got to know all the others we had dinner with. A fun experience and highly recommend.More

Our 4th time here in the last few years and as usual Sean and Keith absolutely blew us away with the dishes. Fantastic service , wonderful wines with some of the best food we’ve ever had, really what more could you ask for ? Without...doubt the best dining experience in Scotland if not the UK. Everyone needs to try this at least once in their life.More

The Table was a truly fantastic dining experience. The doors opened at 7 and every moment for the next 3 and a half hours was incredible. The service, wine and atmosphere were all spot on but the food was the real star. Fine dining food...clearly made with passion for flavour and presentation. We loved every single dish; each has clearly been thought through very carefully to deliver immense flavour in every bite.More

My favourite restaurant in Edinburgh, the food, music, ambiance really is a great marriage made in heaven. Sean and Keith have service down to a fine art, as good as any brotherly duo could be. The tasting menu really is up there with other fine...dining establishments in Edinburgh. The best of the best. Sean definitely deserves a star, the food is absolutely divine! Thank you guys for a wonderful evening, my partner was blown away, his first time at The Table, but definitely not his last. For me as great as previous experiences, everything was absolutely en-pointe! A foodies delight! Thanks Sean & Keith until we meet again!More

We enjoyed every minute of our meal here last night. Very relaxed atmosphere with eclectic mix of music being played, sitting only a few feet from food being prepared and plated up in front of you. And food itself was fabulous - 7 courses plus...canapés and petit fours. Some of the dishes were so clever - the amount of prep required must be incredible. Everything is held together by the chef and host Sean, a lovely guy, happy to answer questions. Wine was also good and great value. We’ll be back.More

We found this place after searching for a tasting menu and certainly weren’t disappointed. Both Sean and Keith were knowledgeable and polite. The dishes served were impeccable and even though some dishes surprised us with the ingredients contained, they were matched perfectly and tasted delectable.... We hope to visit againMore

What an absolutely exceptional experience me and my partner had here last night. The concept is amazing and I love how they deliver it on their terms, doors open at 7 so if you're early you wait (there are even umberellas provided outside). Everyone is...seated and has drinks taken before they are welcomed and introduced to the chefs which leaves you ever so slightly curious for the first 10 or so minutes (I love this!) In terms of the food - the quality of produce, flavours and execution of dishes is outstanding. 10/10. Every plate stunningly different to the last. All with their own twist. (The doughnut soup brought a smile to my face for pre dessert!) We had pairing wines which again were very well thought out and even though a few maybe weren't what we would normally try we agreed how much we enjoyed them with the dishes. I was slightly apprehensive upon arrival as I expected the table to be quite an intense experience - however this couldn't have been further from the truth. Super relaxed yet intimate vibe. One of the best experiences Ive had to date, thank you and we will see you at the table again!More

We had a wonderful experience at The Table. The food was absolutely remarkable and the atmosphere was relaxing and fun. Chef Sean delivers information about the food and wine perfectly without making it the chef show. He is happy to answers questions and keeps things...on the light side. The sous chef is so efficient that you don’t even notice that one course has been cleared and everything is set up for the next. I definitely recommend the table for a unique and pleasurable dining experience like no other. Bravo. We will be back again.More

Where to begin?! On our recent trip up to Edinburgh we decided that a visit to The Table was a must - we love good food but would rarely think to treat ourselves to anything above high-street chain fayre but, we booked as a treat...and we are so glad that we did! Further to other reviews here; we can safely say that this was the greatest complete meal/experience we have ever had the pleasure of eating. In the time since, we have discussed how we can explain to people just how good it was without them either thinking that we’re exaggerating, or working for the restaurant. From the moment Sean opened the doors, to us finishing our last bite, we were completely entranced by the skill on show, the eclectic music we were listening to, and the flavours that were passing our lips. Without ruining the surprise for anyone yet to visit - just know that you can taste every element of what is described to you, and there isn’t a wasted ingredient on show. Welcome hosts, characters both, and the four hours we were there passed in a blink. Will be recommending to anyone who’ll listen. Also, a lovely touch, we were given a little brownie with a celebration candle in it at the end of the meal (they had overheard us saying that we were married on Monday) - as if the meal hadn’t been special enough, they really put the icing on the cake. Thank you - keep being epic.More

Their FAQ mentions if you are unable to attend to contact them and they will try to resell your seat(s). We came down with COVID prior to our trip and reached out multiple times over a week in advance and never even received a response/acknowledgement...of our emails. I would have been completely fine with them letting us know they were unable to resell the seats - but no response at all after multiple emails is just terrible customer service.More

We got lucky and got two spots for our visit to Edinburgh and we were blown away by The Table. Food was out of this world, so much flavour, so much skill. The wines were a real treat, we went with the premium pairing and...were seriously impressed. The plating was not only expert but it came with a side of humour and character. The whole evening was an experience never to be forgotten.More

So we’ve been big fans of The Table for over 4 years now and it’s our first time back since 2019 … and WOW did it not disappoint. Sean and his brother Keith have created something truly special here , an absolutely stunning set of...dishes (I’m not going to go into great detail about them as I don’t want to spoil it for anyone going soon). The atmosphere is so easy going and chilled , the seating is perfect (ten seats and a beautiful bar top counter) where you can see everything g being made right in front of your eyes. Last night was our dear friends birthday and the meal we had was stunning , Myself and my girlfriend have eaten at some of the best restaurants in lots of different countries and I’m not over exaggerating when I say this was properly the best meal weve ever had in our lives. 7 courses with and extra 2 little surprises the only shock to me is the price , he could easily ask for double the level of food ! Thank you again Sean and Keith we will be back soon … if we can find a reservation 10 stars ⭐️More

A very different, but thoroughly enjoyable dining experience. A single bar style table with a max of 10 customers has a uninterrupted view of the chef and his brother sidekick preparing and serving a delightful degustation menu of roughly seven courses. Seasonal produce, well prepared...and beautifully presented served when it’s ready - it took some time (the meal starts at 7 and we left about 11), but to be honest the time flew by. As the evening went on, and the excellent wine match started to loosen tongues, there was more and more conversation about the food, wine, life, the universe and everything. But if your preference is to stay in your own bubble there is no pressure to participate. We left with a smile on our faces, having enjoyed some excellent food, wine and conversation. Well worthwhile booking a visit.More
