Without doubt, one of my favourite places to eat - the quality of food on offer in Wedgwood is stunning, along with the extensive wine list and superb service from Lisa and team. And if you go for a lunch the prices charged for the level of food/service is almost ridiculously cheap. This is far better than a number of... More

We came here a few years ago for dinner and although the food was very good, we found the service a bit over-attentive. This time we did lunch - we hadn't booked but were very lucky to get a table as the restaurant seemed to fill up very quickly with people who had booked, so it's probably best to book... More

We had a great meal here whilst in Edinburgh. Some great and unusual dishes. I had A venison main and a really interesting lobster creme brûlée starter. Definitely worth a visit if you are in Edinburgh.

Our group of 18 had dinner in a private room at the Wedgwood, whose inventive menu and ingredients didn't suit everyone in the group, but to me, it was an absolute foodie's delight. The things I ordered--wood pigeon as a starter, sea trout as a main course, and Perthshire strawberries for dessert--were all beautifully prepared and presented, with unexpected but... More

Superb experience from start to finish! My girlfriend and I visited for our anniversary meal and we were made to feel very welcome. A small restaurant with a nice cosy feel to it. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful, asking if we had any questions about the menu and gave us their recommendations with a description of each. Service was... More

Small but bright restaurant specializing in Scottish fare beautifully interpreted and plated. Our hotel made reservations and we were warmly greeted upon entering. The servers were all lovely and attentive...prompt and efficient yet still friendly and warm. The food was incredible and well presented, from starters to desserts. Highly recommended....worth the splurge.

Visited here for lunch as we were visiting from Liverpool ... Just gorgeous food, service, well looked after by very attentive staff. Only complaint ... Its too far away for us to come once a week!!! Otherwise we'd be regulars.

Small I would say approx 50 covers Great buzz, relaxed but professional service led by a lovely lady called Amanda, who recommended a nice wine. Food is excellent, tasty and wit nice twists, using local ingredients. I would eat here anytime. The owners have just won a national food award. Class.

Thank J0hnlang

Staying in Old Town

Neighborhood Profile
Old Town
Few Edinburghers live in the Old Town, but its labyrinth of dank alleys and steep streets suggests this was not always the case. Today, it’s mostly visitors, tartan-flavored souvenir shops, and pipers that you’ll find on its cobbled streets. This is the place to get a feel for Auld Reekie (Old Smelly), as the town was once nicknamed, and stroll the Royal Mile, the thoroughfare that links the castle with the royal palace – two of Edinburgh’s great set-piece attractions. But there’s lots more exploring to do here down dozens of little alleys, or wynds, while at night the city’s busiest clubs erupt along the Cowgate which is closed to traffic for this purpose.
