I visited the Kitchin with my foodie brother and we enjoyed a fabulous meal from their 3 course a la carte menu. Steep at £100+ per person, with wine and coffee, but worth it. The food was marvellous. The service was simply first class.....and we saw the great man working in the kitchen. The carrot amuse bouche was incredible: words... More

Good to be back and meet Tom Kichin again. He welcome guests in the bar before dinner. Looking through the long window to the kitchen is like a tropical fish tank flurry of action! Restaurant Manager and Sommelier are French and were most friendly and helpful over our "Chef's Seasonal Tasting menu" which included matched wines. Most enjoyed were, Langoustine... More

Celebratory meal following daughter's graduation. Expected it to be wonderful but far exceeded expectations. The food was simply wonderful... out of this world. The staff and the service were faultless and oh those extras, the pre-dessert was sublime. Well worth the price... am already saving up for a return visit when next go to Edinburgh

An excellent lunch at The Kitchin restaurant in Leith. Flavours all round were really deep and vibrant; with a good choice for all on the menu. A good beer selection accompanies a wide selection of cocktails and wines. We enjoyed the set lunch menu which had three good choices for each course; and some cheese from the trolley! There's a... My wife and I went for our first ever visit to Tom Kitchin in February this year. We have previously dined at Martin Wisharts restaurants in Edinburgh and Loch Lomond as well as a number of Michelin starred restaurants in Scandinavia. The welcome from the staff and the attentive service from start to finish was fantastic. We chose two different... More

Perennial debate between Edinburgh foodies we know is what is your favourite restaurant? I'm a wisharts fan as it's always been a brilliant experience. I've been to the kitchin five times now and it is just not as good. The new look is ok but it feels like it's now too big with less attentive staff and multiple servers. Fifth... More

Won't go on about the food. it was as you would expect with the reputation but I will mention the roe deer tartare - YES. Wow they have done a good job on Leith waterfront and this place fits in so well with the changes. Wine matching excellent and the sommelier a nice chap. Had a great night, thanks.

My wife and I had the pleasure of eating at the Kitchin on Friday night and it was simply amazing. I had the wagyu beef and it was the nicest main course I've ever eating. The addition of the shin, sweet breads and on tongue were just gorgeous. Thanks to Tom and his team for making my wife's birthday dinner... More
