They arrived and our order was taken. Things did get a bit better...food was delivered by a friendly waiter fairly quickly. The restaurant was not busy and there... More

Very friendly staff, very helpful and do the best to make your visit pleasant. No long waits and pizzas are lush. Central located and 3 min walk to princes street. Gets really busy in festival months (July,August and September) so possibly prebook tables then.

Once we'd got in.....take care with the door.....it was one of the best Pizza Express's I've eaten in, primarily due to the very pleasant and attentive staff. It caters for all ages....and the food is excellent. We had a really good meal here after arriving very late into Edinburgh with a couple of very hungry children. Highly recommended.

Staying in Old Town

Neighborhood Profile
Old Town
Few Edinburghers live in the Old Town, but its labyrinth of dank alleys and steep streets suggests this was not always the case. Today, it’s mostly visitors, tartan-flavored souvenir shops, and pipers that you’ll find on its cobbled streets. This is the place to get a feel for Auld Reekie (Old Smelly), as the town was once nicknamed, and stroll the Royal Mile, the thoroughfare that links the castle with the royal palace – two of Edinburgh’s great set-piece attractions. But there’s lots more exploring to do here down dozens of little alleys, or wynds, while at night the city’s busiest clubs erupt along the Cowgate which is closed to traffic for this purpose.
