Wonderful meal of small plates here. All of the dishes were so tasty and beautifully presented. We had the shawarma hummus and pita, potatoes bravas, borek( delicious phyllo rolls with feta and oregano), sujuk (spicy sausage), kizartma (roasted vegetables with yogurt sauce) and fattoush salad....For dessert we had authentic Turkish coffee and Turkish delight. Highly recommended!!More

We went to Edinburgh as 2 couples for a weekend getaway. I had heard about this place before from my friends, we wanted to try it together. Glad we went, the service is excellent, the flavors must be tried, we definitely and strongly recommend it.Also,...the concept of the venue and the music caught my attention. It doesn't go unnoticed. Congratulations 🍬More

We went on a family vacation to Edinburgh. We stumbled upon this restaurant, which we learned to have Mediterranean cuisine, and wow, everything was perfect and we were very pleased. Taste and service, bravo Meze Meze.

One of the worst meze experiences ever. Ezme was quite literally red pepper paste, you could taste the powder through it and not a hint of chilli to be found. Lamb bored, oily and full of peas with no Mediterranean flavours at all. Infact it...tasted more like an Indian samosa. Suçuk was OK but the dip was like vinegar. Humus and Hallumi were both OK but you can't really get them wrong can you. The one that totally ended it for me was my Turkish coffee. It was thin and watery and had just boiled and no more. All in all an extremely disappointing experience. One we won't repeat for sure I'm just glad we only ordered some meze and not two main courses as I can't imagine what they'd have been like. One positive were the staff. Efficient, attentive and friendly throughout our visit.More

Been here long time ago and was fantastic, decided to eat there again when in area. Sadly for us was no where near as good. Drinks glasses looked well used and past best, did see another customer take glass back as wasn’t happy with it....Food was ok, arrived very quickly but just something missing . We had the chicken skewers and chicken tagine. Staff friendly enough but can’t see us ever going back .More

We visited on a hot summer's day and got to sit outside, for which Rose Street is great due to no traffic. There was a good range of food, it arrived quickly, was reasonably priced and absolutely delicious. I'll definitely be back.

This was a solo visit, but we've been here repeatedly over the last 8 years or so - with family, with friends, and as a couple. To be honest, I / we can't find anything to grumble about - it's been excellent every single time...without exception. The quality, quantity, and indeed authenticity of the food is first class - add in decent value, along with friendly staff and service - the one worrying thing about this review is that it might make the place too busy next time we're down in Edinburgh.More

Overall, a decent spot for food. We were seated and served promptly. The staff was nice and appreciative. The quarters are a little tight - which made it a little warm inside of the restaurant. The food was served within 10 minutes after our order...- which was the fastest I've seen. Food was decent - nothing spectacular - but warm and fresh.More

My mom and I decided to stop in here for dinner tonight since it is so close to our BnB and we are SO glad we did! The place is so cute and the food absolutely blew us away. Best falafel I've ever had, delicious...home made pita, every single thing we ordered was perfect. Staff is so friendly and this meal was a welcome break from all of the (delicious but greasy) pub food we've been having on our trip! It was so good that my mom wants to scrap our plans to go to Gordon Ramsay's restaurant for dinner tomorrow (she loves Gordon Ramsay) so we can come back here tomorrow instead!More

So glad we went to this lovely restaurant with welcoming and friendly staff. The restaurant is quite small but this adds to a very nice atmosphere. The food was plentiful and excellent . You need to book a table for any popular times . We...were there for 6.45pm on a Tuesday and by 7.30pm it was full and people who had no reservation were being turned away. Will definitely return on our next visit to Edinburgh. Highly recommend.More

This restaurant is a small gem. The staff are friendly and the chef and part owner even stopped by my table to chat. A decadent variety of fresh healthy food. Delicious combination of flavors and appealing presentation. This place is a must when in Edinburgh....Lamb shank is highly recommended for meat eaters and the daily made hummus is just devine. Tried the calamari and it was tender and flavorful.More

We were lured here by the cheery patio dining and affordable, appealing menu and were then absolutely bowled over by the delicious food and friendly service. Alice & Abi made us feel comfortable and welcomed, and the chef prepared the best tzatziki and creamiest hummus...I have ever eaten! Relaxed and cozy atmosphere, reasonable, varied, fresh menu. Perfect way to end a day of sightseeing.More

Fantastic food, the taste is well balanced. The menu shows food of all countries around the Mediterranean Sea. Same as the well chosen music that accompanies you while tasting all rich flavours. The helpful staff makes you feel at home. Lovely place!
