Table service after you have ogled the cakes. The food is fine. It is great to have a pit stop after enjoying the important Surrealist collection and archive of this fine mational gallery.

Venison broth was tasty but venison was hard to detect. Lots of barley though. Could have been hotter. Overpriced.

After a long walk the perfect place for a bowl of warm soep and a cheese scone. Other food looked really good as well. Lots of locals eating there as well, always a good sign

Nothing worse than a long walk around an art gallery and no place to get a nice cuppa afterwards. No problem here! Here is a great little coffee shop with very friendly staff and a great selection of cakes and pastries. Chose the lemon and...More

Lovely place to drop in for lunch. Lovely views, great fresh cooked food and value for money. The café is dwarfed by the magnificent metal sculpture, 'Vulacan' by Eduardo Paolozzi.

Visited the cafe. Very busy so best to book when you enter. Food made from scratch so not a vast selection. Service prompt. Food good.

Rested here for a spell. Enjoyed sitting and relaxing. Had a nice bowl of soup and a glass of wine. Very helpful staff. Recommend, especially if you are planning on the lovely walk back to town!

Good selections of teas, desserts, and lunch items. Freshly prepared and locally as able. Very friendly and welcoming service. Had to be one of the best museum cafe meals I have had. Very good atmosphere; really a very good cafe (with or without the museum).

Just downhill of New Town and attractively straddling

small wonder that Stockbridge became one of the city’s

most desirable, though many bohemian touches have
fallen away as its residents have matured and the area
has gentrified. Some second-hand shops cling on, but
