We stopped here on our weekend in Edinburgh for a pitstop with a difference. We wanted some ales to drink which you weren't likely to get anywhere else. There's always a great selection here and the urban vibe is just great. Would recommend!

Large choice of Brewdog beers, waiters very kind and helpful. We ordered 2 pizza which, even if we waited for it quite a long time for it, were very tasteful.

Stopped by on a wed night, it was very busy, no free tables or spots at the bar. I got lucky, a couple was leaving just as I was ordering. Didnt have anything to eat, only had quick bite, but the beer is really good. Must try if in Edinburgh.

They had a very decent selection of beers, but we really loved the pizzas. Hot, fresh and REALLY tasty - we had four!

Stopped in one night on our way to dinner. Great craft beers including a rotating selection of other brewers. The Brewdog beer is really tasty and the bar was a fun environment with friendly staff. Def worth a stop!

Very laid back atmosphere with some delicious craft beers. We were able to find a table very quickly and the bartenders were very knowledgeable about the beers.

Visited Brewdog this week. As usual a great selection of beers on tap. Good atmosphere in bar and always great to see a wide variety of people in sampling the beer. Bar staff very knowledgable and friendly. My only negative point is the bar is a bit small. Hopefully in the future can get a larger premises in Edinburgh.

i just dont get Brewdog. They seem to specialise in beers which have high amounts of alcohol in them . There really doesnt seem to be much emphasis on what the beers taste like. The pub itself is fine. I would just prefer it if they had a frew more beers with normal amounts of alcohol in them.

Staying in Old Town

Neighborhood Profile
Old Town
Few Edinburghers live in the Old Town, but its labyrinth of dank alleys and steep streets suggests this was not always the case. Today, it’s mostly visitors, tartan-flavored souvenir shops, and pipers that you’ll find on its cobbled streets. This is the place to get a feel for Auld Reekie (Old Smelly), as the town was once nicknamed, and stroll the Royal Mile, the thoroughfare that links the castle with the royal palace – two of Edinburgh’s great set-piece attractions. But there’s lots more exploring to do here down dozens of little alleys, or wynds, while at night the city’s busiest clubs erupt along the Cowgate which is closed to traffic for this purpose.
