What a smashing place. From the outside it looks like it could be an old hardware shop, but inside we had a warm welcome, some lovely quirky decor and really good food - I had a full breakfast and my daughter had pancakes. All very...good, the staff were lovely too. If we didn't live so far away we would be regulars.More

Amazing home-made food of fantastic quality and lovely sized portions, quaint little cafe, cosy, staff incredibly friendly and all worth the money!

I use to love coming here when I lived in the area but recently moved out of town. We recently came back to leith and we were excited to go back to the haven. I arrived at around 1515 when closing time was 1600 to...grab a takeaway panini. When we came in, we were glared at by a member of staff who then went on to say they had stopped serving food but could offer cakes. This was massively disappointing as I feel they should make it more clear if they stop serving food so early before closing especially as some people do travel to visit here.More

If you want a guaranteed tasty breakfast and warm welcome, The Haven is the place to go. Their all day breakfast has always been brilliant, same with the service. Their menu has it’s unique wee Haven twists on it, always so many tempting options!

Was in the area one Saturday morning for work, and was in need of something to eat and a coffee, and looking on TripAdvisor, The Haven Cafe was close by. Great little Hipster Cafe, which for 11am on a Saturday morning was packed!!!!! Ordered a...coffee and morning roll to go, which was freshly prepared in no time and tasted great. Staff are amazing and very chatty. If in the area again some day, I know where I will be heading for again :-)More

The Haven Cafe is located on the main road, yet you get the feeling of being tucked away. Lots of natural light and great decorative items round out a nice aesthetic. Plenty of staff on hand which allows for quick service. All were polite and...welcoming. Maybe a smile or two wouldn’t go astray. Food was Impeccable! Everything was cooked to perfection.More

Popped in for breakfast after staying in Leith for the night . Great wee cafe , great filled roll and friendly service . Will use again . Thanks to all .

Well cooked, and the option of halloumi instead of bacon. Love the srichi sauce. Great rolls here and good coffee. Very welcoming too

Used to visit here frequently pre-covid. Been a few times recently and ingredients aren't the best anymore. My tea was like dishwater on last two visits and clearly margarine or spread on the rolls. Scones had hardly any dried fruit in them. Sauce in the...bottles clearly refilled with poor quality sauce as was a funny colour on pouring. The 10% service charge for the girl to walk the 5 steps to the table was the tin lid, it's a local cafe not a fancy place in town! Also watched the woman cooking wash her hands put hand cream on them rub it in her face and go back to cooking! Real shame, used to be a good value place with nice food.More

I have driven past this cafe hundreds of times but had never been in until now. It’s kind hard to get to at the moment because of the tram works so if you come by car you’ll have to park somewhere and walk. It’s not...big cafe but was super busy on a weekday. That’s how you know it’s good. We got the last table at peak lunchtime. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The menu is pretty standard with a few different opinions. I will definitely be back to try breakfast. They didn’t bat an eye when I asked to take the chilly jam out of the toastie. All the food we had was great, a lot of homemade stuff too. The sourdough bread on the toastie was the most sour I’ve ever had! To finish I got a slice of ‘the haven’, a chocolate traybake thing. I couldn’t tell you what was in it but whatever it was I loved it. It was super rich so I only had a bit and took the rest home. All of the sweet treats in the cabinet looked delicious. If your looking for a spot for a quick, tasty lunch this is the place to go. It’s great to support local businesses.More

Diverse breakfast menu, made to order! Simple ingredients-perfect for allergy families! Cozy, antique decor and dishes! 🥰

Always good food and lovely staff :) i come here before my late shifts at work and always have a nice filling lunch! Half soup and half sandwich!

Tasty breakfast/brunch grub served by a fun and lively young team. One gripe: I had to wait fifteen minutes outside on the doorstep in the drizzle for my coffee and bacon roll. The team evidently processes orders in the sequence that they’re placed, making “grab-and-go”...takeaway customers wait - standing in the street - while elaborate “sit-in” table dining is prioritised. Making takeaway customers wait for ages to get their hands on very simple and straightforward orders makes no sense. I’m sure the team at The Haven would disagree with me, but then again they’re not writing this sincere customer experience review… I am. Despite this gripe, I will be back. Probably to “sit in”! Finally, it would be nice if they served square sausage. Even if they themselves would rather not partake of this divisive but culturally important foodstuff. Keep up the good work.More

I have now been a couple times with my partner and we both really enjoyed ourselves. The atmosphere is akin to sitting in someone’s front room and the staff have always been really nice and attentive. The sandwich and soup I had was really fresh...and tasty, the quality of the produce in the All day breakfast was by far the best I have had, especially the bacon. The cake I had was also very good, especially paired with the coffee. To top things off the price point is very reasonable, again, especially for the quality and freshness of the food. One of there members of staff has also been able to display and advertise her jewellery she sells, which I think is very sweet.More
