Lovely restaurant with friendly staff. I'd recommend the haggis pakora and the chicken korma. Tasty food and I would return. I'd recommend you give this a try.

Butter chicken was a bit poor - could have been any curry ! Indian staff pretty good but the Scottish girls a bit clueless ? Took 30 mins to get the bill ☹️ Must be better Indian restaurants in Edinburgh ?

I visit this restaurant frequently as part of a group of work colleagues as it is very conveniently located, within walking distance to most central hotels. The staff are very pleasant and friendly, and make the effort to greet us and converse with us as regular customers, which is much appreciated. The menu is vast, with almost too many options.... It was my fourth day in Scotland and was a bit rainy also. we went this restaurant for dinner. I thought to have the light meal but couldn't resist myself eating more rotis because of the Panner Butter masala they made. It's too tasty and overall meals also very good. Finishing with hot Carrot halwa in that rainy day was... More

I rely on TripAdvisor reviews and chose this restaurant on the basis of its many good reviews. I agree with those reviews that the service is very good and very friendly, and the meals large. The room was warm and the aromas very welcoming. However the food was inedible. The lamb was dry and old, the madras was very very... More

We visited this restaurant with my bf as we had a recommendation from our friends. Staff was friendly and efficient. I have ordered korma dish which tasted lovely and my partner also enjoyed his dish. The only thing i did quiet like about it was the lack of atmosphere and the decor. Although it was quiet nice meal.

Staying in West End

Neighborhood Profile
West End
Prevailing winds meant that most cities that grew in industrial Britain had their most desirable neighborhoods to the west – upwind of factory fumes. Edinburgh was no exception, with its wealthiest citizens settling in its West End and leaving behind grand Georgian townhouses, private gardens and genteel crescents. These backstreets remain as dignified and sleepy as ever, and most of the action here lies along the district’s busy main roads. Lothian Road connects to southern Edinburgh and harbors a vague entertainment district: three theaters and the city’s main indie cinema. All attract a select crowd, the sort who appreciate the Saturday Edinburgh’s Farmers’ Market around the corner. The West End’s other great thoroughfare, Shandwick Place, is dominated by trams trundling out to the suburbs and airport, and shoppers picking up last-minute items before hopping aboard.
