The restaurant offers a combination of traditional Indian cuisine and modern Indian cuisine in terms of duck, scallops and rabbit as options. For starters we had the scallops and mix pakora. Both nice starters, good portion size and excellent presentation. For mains we had the Kebabhi Kazanna and Methi Gosht. The methi was succulent and very light. The staff was... More

This resturaunt offered the usual traditional Indian menu as well as some speciality dishes. Our food was lovely! Very tasty. It was reasonably priced. Staff were friendly and service was efficient. Would definitely return if in the area.

This place is located very close to DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Edinburgh City Centre where we stayed during our recent trip to Edinburgh. The restaurant was busy on both the evenings (we went for dinner ) and on each occasion enjoyed exquisitely tasty meals. Amazing experience. Truly authentic Indian food with plenty of meat and vegetable dishes to choose from.... More

We dined here as a very large group and they accommodated us well. Staff were very friendly. The curry was very good indeed. The usual selection, of course (it never varies). Started with the poppadoms. Had a biryani. This was cooked to a high standard. There is a fully stocked bar, so no need for BYOB. Overall, a great place... More

Staying in West End

Neighborhood Profile
West End
Prevailing winds meant that most cities that grew in industrial Britain had their most desirable neighborhoods to the west – upwind of factory fumes. Edinburgh was no exception, with its wealthiest citizens settling in its West End and leaving behind grand Georgian townhouses, private gardens and genteel crescents. These backstreets remain as dignified and sleepy as ever, and most of the action here lies along the district’s busy main roads. Lothian Road connects to southern Edinburgh and harbors a vague entertainment district: three theaters and the city’s main indie cinema. All attract a select crowd, the sort who appreciate the Saturday Edinburgh’s Farmers’ Market around the corner. The West End’s other great thoroughfare, Shandwick Place, is dominated by trams trundling out to the suburbs and airport, and shoppers picking up last-minute items before hopping aboard.
