The Chocolate Tree is a place to visit all year long! Hot chocolate during the winter and ice cream during the summer. Always cosy!

....and the most delicious rich salted caramel chocolate tart ever! Worth a moment of your time. And if you can't find a seat, perch at the bar.

The Chocolate tree is a great choice for picking up some ice cream in Bruntsfield. If you're looking for something less touristic it's a great spot. The locale is small and personal and there's a wide selection of good chocolates from all over the world. The service was exceptional and we got on really well with the employees.

The 75% dark hot chocolate was sublime. The I've cream was heavenly and the chocolate dark fruit cake was out of this world. Would advise paying when you order to save waiting as it was a busy place.

Quick pop in for a coffee and faced with the point of sale muffin, which tasted as good as it looked. I've been faced with overpriced coffee shop cakes before and they have often disappointed. However this was simply devine :)

I had a mango gelato that was very good. I also had a piece of sea salt and carmel chocolate cake and that was just a little flat...very rich and with great chocolate, but the total taste was really flat.

This shop serves outstanding chocolate and it offers a menu with a variety of options, from the mild and delicate ones to the 100% chocolate experience. Exotic elements include spicy "Mayan hot chocolate" but if you prefer something more British, why not chocolate cake? The five stars are well deserved also due to the chocolate ice cream, which is certainly... More

I went here with friends and it was mostly lovely - good food and drinks (I recommend the mango sorbet!), and nice staff. The only thing was that the seating was rather uncomfortable - we were seated in the bay window in the blazing sun, on hard backless stools. If I went again I'd either make sure I was sat... More

For me eating out is all about the food I may find difficult to make myself or too time consuming or just not logical. So when it comes to cake, specially some rich chocolate infused then I am there with my fork ready to taste. I had hazelnut vegan cake and I was melting by the richness, texture and superb... More
