Visited here on a Saturday evening on the 23rd July. Pre booked the table but the restaurant did accept walk in's. Cosy atmosphere with a good selection of dishes on the menu. Due to the restaurant being both a mixture of Indian/Nepalese the menu is different from your average Indian curry house. The food we ordered exceeded expectations, it was... More

Located very close to the waverly Station this Restaurant offers a great variety of absolute delicious nepale and indian cuisine. Very nice and friendly service and chef that makes the round to ask whether the guests liked the food if he has time. After having dinner there the first time me and my husband didn't want to go somewhere essen... More

I never really leave reviews but I thought I would this time. I moved away from Edinburgh a few years ago and whilst visiting my hometown I went to this restaurant. It certainly stands out from the others of its kind I remember here. The food was good not too fussy just good tasty Indian cuisine all of our party... More

The food was ok, but we felt misguided by the staff and ordered more than twice the portions needed for our table of 5. Expensive...

Came here with my husband and both of us thoroughly enjoyed our food. We both opted to go down the Nepalese route rather than Indian and we were glad we did. Declicious tender chicken and lamb in generous portions. The restaurant was busy even on the Monday evening we went on but staff were really friendly and attentive. Worth a... More

Booked a table for 8pm on a Friday night. Staff were very friendly and helpful, recommending Nepalese food that we had never eaten before. Got a mixed starter for four including Nepalese starters which were really good. Dumplings were really good. Main courses and Everest Nepalese draught beer also great. Would highly recommend if you're looking for a good curry... More

I am a big fan of Indian food, and I could say I just ate the best chicken butter ever. My husband got a Madras (hot), and it was awesome. Very quiet ambient, my son slept like an angel during our lunch.

Staying in Old Town

Neighborhood Profile
Old Town
Few Edinburghers live in the Old Town, but its labyrinth of dank alleys and steep streets suggests this was not always the case. Today, it’s mostly visitors, tartan-flavored souvenir shops, and pipers that you’ll find on its cobbled streets. This is the place to get a feel for Auld Reekie (Old Smelly), as the town was once nicknamed, and stroll the Royal Mile, the thoroughfare that links the castle with the royal palace – two of Edinburgh’s great set-piece attractions. But there’s lots more exploring to do here down dozens of little alleys, or wynds, while at night the city’s busiest clubs erupt along the Cowgate which is closed to traffic for this purpose.
