Origano serves big portions of delicous pizza. They come in 3 sizes, I had a mid sized 14 inch Quattro Formaggio which I could have finished had I not loaded up with the veggie starter. Reasonably priced, we had sharing platter to start, two 14 inchers and a bottle of wine all for £50.Service was prompt and efficient. Nice atmosphere.... More

First the positives: The food in this place is second to none. You will not find better pizza in Edinburgh and the restaurant has a relaxed vibe. However, the waitress this evening (20/07/16) could not have been more curt, aloof and rude. Unfriendly, uncaring and completely inattentive which basically ruined the evening. Judging by other reviews, I'm not the only... More

Staying in Leith and wanted a pizza. This was perfect, not a national chain plastic pizza, but a real one with real ingredients and great taste. Made feel welcome even tough we hadn't booked and the restaurant was busy. Lovely atmosphere with a real Italian like buzz.

I recently visited origano with a couple of friends. Initially I was pleased by the decor and atmosphere. We ordered three pizzas which took a while to come, and when hey did we felt they were poor quality for the price. The tomato base was only around the edge of the pizza, making it very dry, and the toppings were... More

I had never visited Origano when it was in the smaller premises but had heard that it was THE place to visit in the Burgh for the best pizza; so took up the opportunity now that they have relocated to a larger premises across the Walk. My initial thoughts on entering - its smells absolutely lip-smacking delicious. If you love... More

I don't normally go through the booking process as part of a review but feel I need to on this occasion. I filled out an online booking request on their website requesting a table for 2 at 430pm last Sat afternoon. No reply/confirmation so I called the restaurant to book. I was dismissively told the table was already booked- would... More

Well decorated cosy restaurant. We had four-cheese brioche, goat cheese salad, origano pizza and a chilly one. They were all very good and tasty. We asked for recommendation for the wine and Hazel (I hope I dont spell it wrong) recommended a very good one, we were a bit late for dinner but the lady smoothed everthing for us to... More

This used to be a cosy wee restaurant, and they have down very well adjusting to a larger building nearby. Great service. Great food. Great atmosphere. Great value. Be sure to book, even early on a week night (we didn't and almost didn't get a table) .
