We visited the restaurant at the end of June for a family occasion and the food was excellent, catering for all tastes. I had the Mojito Cheesecake which was delicious. The candied orange slice was fantastic taking this dish to another level. Exquisite fine dining.

We had dinner here recently for a friend's birthday having previously had very enjoyable lunches here on several occasions. It was excellent. We had three courses and all were of a very high standard and beautifully presented. The terrine I had was outstanding. We would definitely recommend this restaurant for either lunch or dinner. Unfortunately, it's on the other side... More

Was not sure to begin with as its tucked away in the basement of a hotel. However, what a find!! The food was excellent and the staff very friendly. The chef came out to greet us when we arrived and they all made us feel welcome. Would recommend to everyone.

Nice to see the chef come out and speak to diners and chat about their requests. Good 'specials' with local fish. Very pleasant staff and very welcoming.

Quite airy and spacious, despite the below-ground location. The waiting staff are French, charming and attractive. Food is imaginative and well presented. This out-of-centre location would be good for the many B&Bs and small hotels in the Minto St and Prestonfield areas

We just finished eating dinner here and it was lovely! It is tucked into the basement of a hotel and looks to be moving to a new location in December 2016. The restaurant was very family friendly and had great gluten free options as well. The service was attentive. They went out of their way to help us, even finding... More

hidden in the courtyard of botique hotel, this restaurant turned out to be a nice surprise. supposed to be a fusion of French and Scottish, the food was nicely done and elegantly presented. try to seabream, the veal liver. Steak is good, but lacks the woo factor of the sea food. The staff were very friendly and the setting was... More

The venue is hidden in the basement of the Salisbury Hotel, which is a bit out of the way but it's bright and light inside. The fixed lunch menu is good value and the food tasty and varied. The seafood terrine starter was delicious and the fish main course likewise. Some onsite car parking too.

I visited the restaurant with my partner and mother after a recommendation from a friend and I now rather wish I hadn't taken his advice The food was very good, well cooked and presented and a brilliant range of specials, prices are not cheap, but the quality of food is worth the price paid However, our waitress left a lot... Tried the duck, lamb, cod, escargots and desert platter. The duck and lamb was very good. Cod was a tad too salty and the escargots could afford more garlic in it. Desert platter is a good taste for all the menu but it's best to share the highly sweet offerings.
