Our intention was to navigate our way from the bus stop to the Botanic Garden for a morning snack. We never got there. We passed this attractive little bistro and then walked back and in. Lovely fresh feeling interior and a warm welcome. The best bacon bap I've had in a long while and the scone and home made plum... More

We arrived around 12.30pm, happy to have breakfast, brunch or lunch. We were initially told that a lovely table by the window "was reserved" but another waitron arrived and said we could sit there if we'd be all done by 2pm. Of course we agreed! So partner had cullen skink and I had the 'terrine of the day' (chicken) with... More

After a disastrous visit to the Terrace Cafe in The Botanical Gardens, my sister and I spotted this wonderful cafe on our way home. The decor is bright and welcoming, the service was friendly and relaxed. The food was perfect, I had a salad from the specials board and my sister had the Cullen Skink. The menu prices were sensible... More

We visited for lunch and couldn't believe our luck in choosing such a gem of a cafe, the menu was great, lots of choice even though one of our group was a vegetarian, fabulous burger and caramelised onion tart, amazing vanilla cheesecake, great service with a smile, thank you for a great culinary experience!!

We had coffee at this nice bistro on our way to the Royal Botanic Garden. The staff was friendly and happy to share a few words with us. We had only coffee at the bistro and therefore cannot judge the quality of the cooking. However, the coffee offered value for money and we left the bistro with a feeling of... More

A generous big-hearted place to eat beside the Water of Leith. Food is prepared by the Breton chef whilst his hospitable wife looks after front of house. It is family friendly, light and bright with retro wallpaper and comfortable seating. Food is satisfying and we have enjoyed creamy Cullen Skink, deliciously fresh crispy quiche and delectable risotto. It is very... More

If you're in the Leith/Canonmills area and you're looking for a place to have lunch or dinner, look no further. This is a bistro with the best homecooked food, varying from a French croque monsieur with French fries to a more extensive 2 or 3 course meal. Most dishes are inspired on the French cuisine with the head chef being... More

Came here for an afternoon break with my friends on our first day in Edinburgh. We were served by very friendly staff and delicious food. Definitely worth having a try.
