The food was great, both the hamburgers and the Mac and cheese were great for a pub lunch. They also had some nice beers and a cider that I’d never tried before. The waiter who served us was very friendly and had a great sense...of humour; I’d love to re-visit with a group of friends or when I travel to Edinburgh again. Even the toilets were clean and had more character than half the pubs I’ve been in!More

Such a lovely atmosphere, husband very happy with the Leith Juice on tap. Friendly staff too. We all enjoyed a lovely meal, special mention to the cauli curry which was delicious. Third visit and we wish this was our local, maybe one day…

Roseleaf cafe bar: To my shame living in Edinburgh I've passed this cafe bar by quite a few times! Today thanks to my wife I've finally made it! And it was well worth it! .. there are vegetarian options but as an omnivore I chose...the "big Yin" breakfast! And they're not kidding, home made sausage home made tattie scone enough bacon to build your own pig! " sorry vegetarians!" Great coffee great space reasonable price! It's the place to go for breakfast brunch and everything in between! Go there! And go back again fab!More

We were treated to a wonderful lunch here to cap off a half day tour of Edinburgh and wow, what a treat! Johnny, the owner, and his staff create a true dining experience. We found the food and beverages to be second to none (the...macaroni & cheese was the best ever!), with attentive, upbeat service. Roseleaf sports some intriguing scenery inside and out that you simply have to see. They have some interesting history as well, including the fact that golf was invented within a mile of the pub! If in Edinburgh, make your way to the Leith neighborhood and enjoy the Roseleaf!More

Such a neat spot in Leith! It’s a shame it’s a bit off the beaten path though… food was great; love the atmosphere; pretty quiet understandably in a midweek mid afternoon.

The best place in The Shore, Leith for delicious, quality food and service. And a bit quirky too to add to the atmosphere. We were there again this morning for their amazing breakfast. Usually I have a fry up that comes sizzling to your table....This morning I tried the French toast with bacon and maple syrup. Wow, it did not disappoint. Light, fluffy eggy bread, all the maple syrup you wanted and a pile of bacon I did not think I could get through. But I did and washed it down with a terrifically spicy Bloody Mary. See you again soon Roseleaf!More

After trying to spot the royal Britannia, we looked for something to eat and found this little gemt. Luckily we got a table and selected from the menu a veg breakfast, egg royal with hagis and macandcheese. Tea was great, service was good. Food excellent....Would definitely recommend and come again.More

We were stopping in Leith and called in for some breakfast/brunch and it was delicious. I had fancy fungi and my husband had vegetarian breakfast. Both lovely. My husband is very hard to please food wise but he thought breakfast was amazing. Definitely recommend
