Really nice cafe to stop and have lunch food excellent we had the sandwiches and tea and the delicious peanut butter and hazelnut slices busy cafe but service quick and efficient and food excellent quality

Visited Deacon’s House Cafe with my boyfriend when visiting Edinburgh got a couple of days. Friendly welcome, lovely atmosphere and amazing food! Extensive cake selections, the hazelnut shortbread is a must. Small cosy and perfect for breakfast/brunch. 10/10 would recommend

Had to look hard to find this as has scaffolding up at the moment but a great find as staff really friendly and food tasty . Loved the paintings around the walls and the explanations

Popped in for a hot drink and a snack, mainly to rest feet after walking all round the Royal Mile. We both had a hot choc with whisky in and a cakes. Great service, very friendly, nice drinks and outstanding cakes. Highly recommend a visit.

Hey there, Not sure if they allow dogs inside, however they have a seating area of 3 or 4 tables outside the restaurant (which is a courtyard off the Main Street down a alley way).
